Doesn’t appear any different than others

The meditations stop when the screen goes to sleep. Sometimes, not always - but sometimes can be absolutely enough. Brand new iPhone, up to date app. I really had a lot of respect for Sam Harris before I experienced this. Why would you bait people who need help into pure disappointment and frustration? I just have nothing nice to say about this app - especially for people who really need help. It borders on cruelty, to be honest.

I am updating my review as I was mistaken. I am currently doing the 30 day meditation course and I like it a lot. There are also really interesting theoretical talks. Sorry for the mistake on my end. Thanks!

As a beginner, I’m 28 days in to the course. My impressions are, this appears to have the potential to be a real game changer. Sam Harris guides these meditations in ways I’ve never experienced before. Appears to me that this will change my experience of “Life”

I think the content in this app is great with an extensive library in both longform and short snack sized lessons. The stumbling block is this app is very glitchy and I find myself looking to other apps knowing there’s a good chance I will get frustrated with this one. One of the specific issues that has the bedeviled this app since it’s inception is it simply stops from a sound standpoint, but continues to play. Hard to explain, but it’s like the sound is paused, but yet the course or interview continues on. The remedy is to install and uninstall the app yada yada yada. If something is supposed to be creating calm and mindfulness unfortunately this app is doing just the opposite and at this price point it’s frankly unacceptable. Hopefully they will someday get that bug fixed but at this point user beware.

Was locked in at a low rate as a legacy user, only to bumped up later on. Really disappointed in this. Time to move on, I guess. Everything is temporary.

The introductory practice was a real game changer. The lessons,conversations and practices have been nothing but resourceful. In all honesty I appreciate sam and the people that make this app possible. I have struggled with find a guide to a better way of living, and this app has delivered tools that I’ll be carrying for the rest of my life. Thank you!!
