Everything I could ask for until version 3.6.0

I heard about this app from a friend in April and decided to try it out. It’s safe to say, it quickly became my favorite app. I’m an american, but I’ve always wanted to watch the france/portugal leagues, south american leagues, and the libertadores. All that is on here. I was kinda bummed that not everything had an english broadcast, but that’s okay…many of the important phrases in spanish I knew so I could still watch the game and pick up the important details from the broadcast. Having the ambient sound option is also really cool for when just doing work and enjoying the sound of a vibrant soccer atmosphere. Basically, it was easy to use, had a ton of cool features, and was very straight forward and helpful. It’s safe to say that the new version that just came out and I unfortunately updated to is an absolute disaster. It says it has exciting updates, if you define exciting as less user friendly, confusing for casuals, and more disorganized…then yes, it’s exciting. If you are like me and define exciting as improvement or cool new features, then it is definitely not exciting. Here are just a few things… 1. The live games line is no longer at the top, it’s below highlights, which themselves are below options to click on a select few specific leagues. 2. The games on the list are soemtimes incomplete, meaning that all live events are no longer always there and you have to go to a complicated side menu to find the exact competition the event is in and can no longer find it from the home page directory. 3. The full names of the teams in the games that are shown are no longer listed. Why? Not every single person who buys this service is a hardcore supporter that knows every single team abreviation from Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Portugal, Turkey, France, Libertadores participation, sudamericana participation, etc. not to mention, some teams in different leagues have the same 3 letter abreviation. It’s incredibly confusing and you have to click on the games, one at a time, to see the scoreboard to figure out who is actually playing…or try to get a glimpse of the uniforms. Why change something so simple that wasn’t broken? It’s unnecessarily complicated, and the icons for the games are the same size as they were before, so there’s no reason why the team names had to be removed for three letter abbreviation that most people won’t recognize. Popquiz: what team is “plc”? Don’t know? Me either. How about “CCU”? Didn’t think so. Not unless you are a fan of that team, anyways. Here’s my personal favorite…the one that shows up for half dozen different teams “Oli”. Good luck. Anyways, if this third bulletpoint can be fixed, I’ll put it up to four stars, and if all three are fixed I’ll put it at five stars, which is the quality of the actual service and it’s variety of options. But right now, the UI isn’t even one star…it’s the actual service content that’s keeping this star rating where it is.
