horrible matchmaking playing with teammates who leave after dying 10 times causing me to lose so many trophies have to have a perfect game js to win I have so many instances of 0-20 teammates while trying to win horrible game don’t play plus it’s becoming more pay to play having to spend money to upgrade brawlers and get new ones ts coming from a player who played since 2019 and got masters with 70k+ js tired of putting in so much work to get absolutely nothing in return

After this records update brawl stars just feels so rigged. My randoms suddenly became so much worse and gameplay isn’t as smooth. Progression is basically impossible now, and all the buffs to certain brawlers make them unplayable against.

They used to have an actual progression system with each character called "masteries", where you felt like you were doing something worthwhile with each character, and the reward at each milestone of the path felt earned and worth it. They have now removed it + gotten rid of most of those rewards from the economy, and replaced it with a character win counter called "records". The only reward you get for each milestone is a gacha pull that's 95% garbage, as well as a periodic level-up in a meaningless system called "record levels", which gives you an ugly cosmetic every time. (Oh, and for context, I hit record level 5 at about 20k trophies, which took me a year of casual play to get, where a player I know with 80k just barely hit record level 6. It's not even close to attainable for anyone but the hardcore spenders.) Do better GreedyCell.
