HomeSafe View: Live Swann CCTV viewing on your iPhone and iPad HomeSafe View supports the following features: Multi-channel viewing with up to 16 cameras on screen at the same time (16ch view works best on iPads) Play back stored recordings from your DVR on your handset or tablet (requires high upload speed internet) Change settings on your DVR or NVR in app Capture video from your camera live view to your iPhone to play back later Capture single and multi still images and save these to your iPhone's picture library Control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras remotely Note: Current model handsets and iPads are recommended for high resolution playback and live viewing more than 8 cameras at once. Note: This app uses a data stream that will connect to your Swann DVR via 4G/5G or WiFi. When using 4G/5G, the video from your DVR will likely be considered "downloads" by your phone service provider and will contribute to any download limit your phone data plan may have. If you exceed any plan limits you may incur additional usage charges. Consult with your mobile service provider regarding the use of a video streaming app and how it may affect your plan.   • Live Video screen won’t rotate horizontally

    The new HomeSafe is way better however on my iPad and iPhone if I want to rotate the live video screen on the app horizontally (sideways) to view video on a wider screen it won’t move it just stays put in the vertical screen. I tried under setting to lock and unlock the rotate screen, it doesn’t work. Every so often I am able to turn my phone or iPad horizontally and the video screen rotates. But it’s rare! The app developers need to fix this issue within the app. The rotate works on Android devices. My partner has Samsung phone and tablet. It rotates better on those devices.

    I don’t understand how this sets up. Initially it connected easily, but when I open the app it shows cameras are disconnected. Seems if I sit there long enough, they connect. The playback features are not at all intuitive, and I basically can’t figure out the controls. In a nutshell, there is no play button or anything that looks familiar, and no instructions about how to control anything. I’ve been unable to get the email function to work. It wants a user id for my email. Why? What is it? I have an email address and password, but it tells me it’s wrong. Very frustrating. I’ve had this sitting in my basement for several years and finally got around to setting it up. I did an on-line firmware update snd the clock automatically set proving internet connectivity. PC app is also very user unfriendly.

    Was very buggy to begin with in iOS 17 but in iOS 18 even lost ability to go into landscape mode in iPhone and iPad! This app is just unreliable now. The only thing good - it hasn’t crashed yet like its predecessor; works in a pinch but forget about seeing anything worthwhile on your iPhone.

    Hi if your don’t work under wifi mode delete app reinstall app turn phone off and back on should fix the problem that’s what I did now it works.

    App overall is Very Good. I am an iOS Apple I-phone user for over 15 years. They provide helpful auto downloadable upgrades/improvements. It’s very user friendly. Tech support superior & very responsive. They resolve or explain and /or walk you through corrective actions very thoroughly. Minor upgrade needed on overall app on speed & internal battery back-up. Otherwise very good app and product. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT technical Support service!!!

    Overall I’m happy with the product for the most part but since the iOS update the side view feature will not work (with the toggle button on) until you manually go into settings every time you open the app and turn it off and back on. Please update and fix bug thank you!
