in comparison to eventide 1, this game is kind of lacking. still a decent game but was pretty short. story kind of lacked, i didn’t feel super challenged and there weren’t that many interactive spots in each location. the map isn’t super useful compared to other games. i have the subscription so i got a small discount but i think the first eventide game was just a lot more fun.
  • It was fun for a while.

The beginning was a lot of fun, but you can only play up to a certain point in the game before you have to pay to continue.

Very challenging. Have to stop occasionally to rethink to discover “What am I missing”. Recommend to anyone who likes a great mind game. Try it if you think you are sharp enough to think like the developer. Good luck!

Much more interesting than most of these games. Beautifully drawn and a scary fairytale feel. Not many long list in HO of things you don’t need. Just a fun game.
  • Great game!

I really enjoyed this game. I don't know why people think it's short, I found it to be quite long. I don't use hints or skip puzzles, so if you do use those it will be quicker to finish I suppose. The graphics are good, storyline has been done before but not in this way. There are two sets of items to collect. The puzzles were all pretty easy except the marble door one, which took me quite a while to complete😳. I love Artifex Mundi games, and this one did not disappoint!

Resubmitted due to updated app: This is a fairly acceptable sequel to its predecessor; however, I prefer the storyline of the former. The context maintains Slavic tradition and wisdom as it incorporates elements of fable, mythology, and fantasy, which arise as you venture to a world where magic, mystery, and superstition prevail; you will engage with fantastical, oddball creatures that can communicate and interact as humans do. The artwork exhibits Slavic artifacts and symbolism related to its tradition, such as the photos of the departed, together with the flowers and gifts left by loved ones; the statues of godly deities; and the potions made from ancient herbs to cast powerful spells upon menacing forces. The graphics are riveting in that they are beautifully illustrated with delicately hand-painted scenes. The color wheel is embellished with rich, revitalizing shades to exert a spirited and zestful climate. The characters you meet are eccentric and caricature-like in appearance; their personalities further enhance the storyline as each one requests your service or has a distinct tale to tell. You can customize your settings to eliminate sparkles and tapping penalties. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The map navigation is adequate with speedy transport to labeled locations; available actions are indicated. Unfortunately, locations are not specifically individualized; rather, they are grouped together within certain general areas so you need to figure out which locations are ready for action. The diary neglects to record story progression; it contains the Herbarium, which leaves little to the imagination. The HOS are abundant enough to appease their faithful fans; they are effectuated in varied and interesting ways. The puzzles are very elementary in challenge; one example is the storybook form where you find highly-visible items in accordance with narration. Transition is seamless; touch sensitivity is very clean with precise response to my input. You have several sets of collectibles; they can vary regarding the challenge of discovery. This game is imperfect for the following reasons: 1. I dislike the unnecessary, repetitive dialogue if you tap around the relative areas adjacent to the characters. 2. Gameplay is very effortless with the completion of activity after a few scenes. 3. No bonus chapter and short length. 4. Other reasons stated above. I am torn between rating this 3 or 4 stars; I'm going with 4 stars because I am enjoying the story anyway, as well as the diverse HOS and the flawless mechanics.
