Description

Life Cycle automatically keeps track of your time and presents your life sorted into slices. It shows you your daily activities, places you go, and who you spend time with. Life Cycle weekly journal provides personalized insights and clarity to your week passed. Start each week with a look back. Remember where you’ve been and vision where you’re going. Whether you’re just curious of how your time is spent or looking to make a change, Life Cycle is your daily companion, providing you with all the information and insights you need. What’s more - it uses only 1% of your phone’s battery while it seamlessly does the work. FREE FEATURES • Automatic - Life Cycle works in the background, recording and sorting what you do as you go about your daily business. • Less than 1% battery - Life Cycle uses less than 1% of your battery per day as it runs in the background. • Weekly journal - Weekly insight to activities, accompanied by photos tied to moments passed. • From a day to a year - view your life day by day, week by week, month by month or even year by year. • Apple Health - Fully integrated. Imports all activities, mindfulness and sleep data. • Friends - Connect with your friends on Facebook and see who you’re spending time with, what you’re doing and where. • Sleep Cycle connection - For accurate sleep data, connect with Sleep Cycle alarm clock through Apple Health. (Life Cycle only reads data from Health, it does not share any data. It reads Sleep Analysis and Steps data.) PREMIUM FEATURES • Connect to your Sleep Cycle account - If you have an online backup account with Sleep Cycle, Life Cycle will let you know how your daily habits affect your sleep quality score. • Backup - Keep your data safe with our backup system. Never worry about losing your Life Cycle logs again. • Graphs - Beyond the donuts, Life Cycle shows you what you do with your time in detailed graphs for deeper analysis. The visuals gives you insight to if you're spending your time on what’s most important to you. • Compare trends - see if you’re dropping in sleep hours, if you’re working too much or if you’ve taken longer walks this week. Compare trends over the weeks, months or years. BATTERY CONSUMPTION Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Life Cycle does not use the GPS in the background, but instead relies on cell tower and Wi-Fi locations. As a result, it consumes less than 1% of your battery per day, when the app runs in the background. REQUIREMENTS • Life Cycle needs to run in the background to be able to record your data. It only uses 1% of your battery per day when doing so. • You need to carry your phone with you, for Life Cycle to accurately record and interpret your activities. • Wi-Fi should be enabled on your phone for tracking to work. Should you choose to subscribe to Life Cycle Premium, the purchase will be charged to your iTunes account. You can manage or cancel your auto-renewable subscription by entering the user settings in iTunes after the purchase. The subscription will be auto-renewed 24 hours before the subscription period ends, with the same kind of subscription you already bought, to the same price. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. • No editing of locations

When this app fails to identify where you are there does not appear to be any way to add a new location.
  • Very unhappy long time subscriber

I’ve been subscribing to this app as a premium member for backup since 2017. My premium subscription renewed at $9.99 as usual in November, but now the app is saying my subscription expired in December. The app is now demanding $29.99 to not only use the backup I paid for but access data that should be available for free. This feels like a scam. I can’t recommend this app anymore.
  • A lot to like

This is truly one of those “Why didn’t they think of that before?” breakthrough apps that really leverages the fact that your phone always knows where you are. There’s much to like about it that other reviews touch on, and I think this app will eventually become exceptional. It does have a few quirks and deficiencies that keep it from greatness, however, that I hope the developer will address. First, monthly comparisons are done primarily on total hours instead of hours per day. Unfortunately, different months have different numbers of days, so that’s comparing apples and oranges (or at least big apples and small apples). Yes I know I spent less time doing x in February than in January…because there are fewer days in February! Moreover, monthly and even weekly totals are interesting but irrelevant to our daily lives. At a minimum, we should be able to tap to switch between monthly/weekly totals and average-per-day totals. Another issue is that the “what you were doing” categorization needs more thought and structure. A simple list of possible activities without any nuance, systemic meaning, or easy and intuitive adaptability is ok for a “version 1” but ultimately misses the mark and needs significant innovation. Yes, I can add new categories, but when “lunch” and “dinner” are as disparate as “sleep” and “travel,” the meaning and utility (and ability to roll up activities into activity types) is lost. Moreover, while most places are associated to one specific activity, others aren’t, and the app doesn’t prompt for clarification for locations that could be associated to different activities at different times. What if I sometimes go to a given restaurant for breakfast and other times for dinner? (Hint: Replace “lunch” and “dinner” with “dining out.”) What if I sometimes go to a mall to shop, other times to eat, and other times to watch a movie? Yes, this will be a tough nut to crack for the developer, but it will be necessary if they really want to make this app meaningfully useful…and based on what’s in the app so far, I’m confident they have the talent do accomplish this and more. Overall, very good at present. I look forward to future excellence!

For retirees, it will always say: you tend to spend a lot of time at home on (any day of the week) This is not news to us; please tell me something else!
  • Signed up for 30 day trial but charged before

Canceled ahead of time so I wouldn’t get charged but charged me for a year. No way to get in touch. I didn’t want to sign up and i haven’t had a chance to even review if it works for my needs. Please resolve!
  • I hate pie charts

This app is great. I love seeing how much time I dedicate to going out to dinners per week. I wish that it used bar charts instead of pie charts
  • Total lack of support

I’ve used the free app for a few years and have considered upgrading, but every time I almost do it, I realize that it is totally unsupported. No criticisms or questions are ever answered by the developer. Updates are years apart and weak. I will stick with the free one until it finally pisses me off completely!
  • I love this app!

I’ve used this app since January 1st of 2020 and have absolutely loved it. It’s been so great at keeping track of how long and how often I am at specific locations like work, home, or the gym. It’s really cool to be able to look back and reference. I had zero issues with it until when I got a new phone. I was unable to restore using the app‘s backup feature. However, the issue seems to now be resolved! So I can resume as a promoter. 🙌🏼
  • 4 years of tracking gone

I just upgraded my phone for the first time since 2018 and just realized that my existing history on the app is not transferable even though I pay for premium and use their backup system. My phone phone has 0 recollection of the last 4 years of my tracking and there seems to be no way for me to even reach out to support to ask about this because their support page is not even available anymore. I am so upset and feel like I’ve been scammed the last few years.

I like this very much but it needs to be updated. I am blind and it’s not a blind friendly app. I’ve been using this app since the first came out I delete and reinstalled it several times because I cannot find one just like this, so please update just a suggestion. Thank you.
