    The app is okay but now that they have jacked the price up to be the same as Quickbooks, might as well just go to the better known app with better integrations and a superior UI/UX. I’m pretty disgusted with their pricing strategy. Perhaps the geniuses haven’t heard of churn.

    I love FreshBooks. With that being said the app needs work, mine constantly has problems syncing with my account. I lose invoices, invoices don’t send out, customers have problems paying with the card function. I’ve never had any issues on the computer version.

    I love the time tracker and invoice function. The only problem I have is that when I upload receipts and add those to an invoice, there is no automated bank reconciliation. And you have to delete each manually uploaded receipt to make the books work. I’m running quickbooks next to it because of that. Also having to pay $30 extra a month after reaching 50 clients seems a little lame. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Looking forward to when they fix the receipt upload/ bank stuff.

    The app only allows you to view invoiced income and if you don’t use this feature you cannot view any income and it renders the app useless. Both the app and web versions are lacking and seemingly purposely limited to steer you down a path. Time to add features or time for me to move on.

    Ok so I love the web version. Works great. It’s the phone that is lacking or in this case lagging. It is consistently one month behind what I have on my desktop. Not sure why. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the phone app to no effect.

    What a bug riddled mess. Rather than recite the long list of flaws with Freshbooks I’ll give a single example that’s emblematic of the overwhelming defectiveness of this system. I receive a monthly email from Freshbooks with a PDF of my invoice attached. I forward the email and attachment to my dedicated Freshbooks expense ingestion email. And then Freshbooks gets it wrong. Every. Time. THEIR OWN INVOICE! EVERY TIME! It reads the logo in their signature as the invoice, and creates a new expense with a wrong date, wrong vendor, and wrong amount. If you thought I’d be better off manually uploading their PDF invoice to create a new expense, you’d be forgiven but still wrong. This STILL creates an expense with incorrect information, the most comical of which is changing the currency from USD to CAD even though USD is specified in their invoice. This incompetent hackery is seen in every workflow in the system. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because a two star is more likely to be read.

    Originally I was having a ton of problems with scanning, ai features, etc. When reaching out for help I was unhappy with the AIBot, but upon getting to chat with customer support, my mind has been changed for now. They helped me fix my first problem, then I ran into a second problem that worked its self out. They were friendly and more helpful than I anticipated. I hope the app and features continue to work correctly.
