    I’ve tried a few invoicing tools before, but Moon Invoice is by far the easiest to use. It’s super intuitive, and I’ve honestly saved around 30% of my time just by switching over. It keeps everything neat, quick, and professional.

    Never, under any circumstances, buy this app. There, now you’ve been warned. The devs who build this app are “feature” crazy. They constantly roll out updates that fundamentally rethink the app basics, while introducing features that absolutely nobody was clamoring for. If you ignore my warning, expect relied upon workflows to be broken, hidden away, or removed entirely. As an example, they just removed my ability to email invoices through my preferred email app. In the past, I could choose between my own app and their built-in email server. Now when I use “system default” email, a miniature, abbreviated email window opens that’s neither Mail app nor Moon Invoice, and the email doesn’t even support email signatures. And if you copy all and try to paste it into a new email message, the attachment doesn’t paste. I mean, really? Data entry in this app is painful. Every single entry field is so stupid and convoluted that doing a simple single line invoice takes half an hour to complete. Not that it matters, since you can’t email it anyway. The devs seem to take joy in changing how stuff works. And then they just roll out the change without warning, as if it had always been that way. But it wasn’t! And implementing changes has consequences. Some of the changes force manual hand editing of every single customer record to function properly, like when they changed how invoice due dates work. One day out of the blue, all my invoices began being due on the creation date, instead of net 30, as it had been. But the old field where the due date used to be set was totally gone, and all records were set to same day due as creation. Do not buy this app! I know it’s cheap, but don’t do it.

    Moon Invoice covers all my business invoicing needs perfectly! From creating invoices and estimates to tracking expenses and payments, it does everything smoothly. The interface is user-friendly, and it saves me so much time. Highly recọmmended for any business!
  • Worst rip off confusing

    App is so confusing and a rip off. It keeps telling me to start my free 7 day trial when It already made me pay for 2 subscriptions that don’t expire until April 2025 and September 2025. Don’t waste your time and money on this confusing app I don’t know why I stayed with this app for so long.
  • Very Painful app

    I’ve been using this app since the beginning of January 2024, and I can’t wait to end my subscription this December. While the app is easy to use, it needs a lot of improvements. After reviewing other users' complaints, it seems the developers do not care. Here are my main concerns: 1. The app does not have background refreshing. If I don’t complete writing an invoice and forget to save the task, once I leave the app for any reason and return, all my work is gone—the app resets. 2. Many times, after writing an invoice or task, it disappears for no reason. 3. If I don’t input any value into the invoice, it doesn’t save. Overall, it needs significant improvements, and I am currently searching for a new app.

    The iPad app is horrible. If you're entering information in portrait mode, and you spin it to landscaping, it totally deletes the editing window and everything that you just entered is completely lost. It will also reboot itself for updates while inputting information which is completely lost.

    I purchased the full version back in 2017, never had any problems, until last week. Support contacted me and they told me that my subscription was cancelled, expired. I sent back my information and recipe. After that a got multiple email letting me know that is nothing they can do, if I want to use the app I need to pay again. Juts beware that the full version will cost you more than once.

    THIS IS AN UPDATE TO AN EARLIER POST I am updating this rating to warn others to beware of Moon Invoice which has such serious flaws that it is a threat to the existance of my company and could land you in legal jeprody if you use the faulty moon data in legal or tax filings. I pay for Moon's Gold program. Moon Invoice has a mobile app, a desk/laptop app and an online version. Shockingly, the three versions fail to sync with each other, and your dashboard will show you wildly differnt numbers. The web version was the worst and is off by hundreds of thousands of dollars. The desk/laptop app was the middle worst, with dozens of missing expenses that were filed on the mobile app, all of which are correctly set to back up and sync. The mobile app appears to have the most accurate data, but since data integrity protocols at MOON are non-existant, I am being forced to download the thousands of lines of entries from each data back up file into spread sheets to compare them as I have zero faith in their collective accuracy. To explain the seriousness of this data integright issue, I have use this data to file my taxes, to bill my clients, to track my invoices, and now I have to question the numbers I gave to the IRS, go back through dozens of invoices to see if I missed filing for any expenses that did not sync across the app versions and online version. The data integity is so bad, that I don't even know if I can trust what I belive to be the most up to date back up without submitting to hours of inspection and integration. I have spent many, many hours on the chat and phone with their support, and its always the same; "they need to escalate, this will never happen to you again, we are fixing that on the next update, etc. This truely seems like a fly by the seat of their pants software crew who's updates add things I do not need, while removing things that are critcally important to the way I do my invoices. I am in the process of finding another solution that I can seemlessly as possible move my several years of data to. Origiinal Post from June 11, 2024 I have had significant problems with my Moon subscription during the last few months. The icing on the cake was when an update required an operating system upgrade that I wasn't eligible for on the computer I was using. This required purchasing a new computer to use the app, which was not idea. The program now crashes a lot and key features, such as selecting multiple expenses to make an invoice, have been disabled, with no clear guidance on how now to make invoices that include expenses. Overall I am very disapointed with both the Moon App and the customer service which always have to escalate and then ask if its ok to get back to you in 72 hours. As a small business, 72 hour disruptions are really difficult to absorb. Until Moon improves, I recommend finding another vendor for your business.

    This is the worst app I’ve ever used for invoicing!! It doesn’t send out emails, you can contact customer support unless you update your plan… you can’t send via WhatsApp unless you update your plan… you can’t make any estimates unless you update your plan.. basically you can’t do anything unless you have gold status… very disappointed in this app. They also charged me twice for updating….
