I highly recommend you avoid this App as it will trick you into multiple purchases before you even get to use the app.

Was nothing like it was advertised After paying it wanted more money for more options. Wasted money would love a refund

I purchased the lifetime option for what was advertised as Windy Pro, then found out after if I wanted to read about pinned fishing spots on local lakes, I had to upgrade to “Pro”. Very disappointed I’m asked to pay again for something I already bought. Suspiciously like a bait and switch strategy, and after talking to others who had same experience, will be demanding a refund and deleting the app if the developer doesn’t respond with an explanation.

All necessary boating info on one screen This is the best boaters app. Much more accurate and timely than NOAA.

It’s not the same as the advertising

Purchased this App after seeing their 14 day cancellation period. Glad I did so. The ads for this App make it look like a fishing App with helpful weather functions. Not so. This is a weather App with some informational fishing functions(like what kind of fish are found in certain lakes). But if you want what appears to be HELPFUL fishing functions, you’re gonna have to pay even more - $ignificantly more. Thankfully, the cancellation/refund process seems simple enough. I just sent a short email yesterday requesting it and it appears to be in process the very next morning.

Be very careful sampling this app. Windy confusingly makes you think you are getting to see the Pro version for 7 days free. Then immediately charges you $164.99 which they won’t refund. Nor will the App Store. They present nothing especially unique. Can be had in free or less expensive apps. And in my area there are very few reporting locations. Terrible way to do business. I’m stuck with my purchase. You shouldn’t be.

Windy.app needs to improve their model prediction. Always predict no wind when there’s actually windy. Also lacking realtime wind graph.
