I needed to edit a sound track in a hurry and found this gem. I watched a tutorial and bingo! It took me all of 20 minutes to extract 2 minutes of audio from a 30 minute track. AND I'm not a techie. I one who wanders through hoping I can figure it out. This was super easy to navigate.

I have been using this app for a couple years now. It is very easy to use. I am a novice user and have found that when I need to edit any audio files, this app has tools to accomplish the edit. Highly recommended.

Simply put, NCH wants to screw you. This product is an upgrade treadmill. Even though you've already purchased the product, you'll find that in a few months time they'll eventually stop offering the version you just downloaded from the website. You have to pay them even more money, to download the current version, with features you dont need, or even want. I used to swear by WavePad, and used it for 10 years....but in that time, NCH has turned greedy. They don't even allow you to download earlier versions of the program you already purchased, so you can use the registration code you already bought! If buying isnt owning, then piracy isn't theft, folks.

It seems so rare to find an app that strikes just the right balance between offering the capability you need, but also being easy to use right off the bat. I wanted something simple for trimming and amplifying recordings of bird calls, something which can be surprisingly irritating to figure out in some complex audio editors, but in WavePad it was simple and intuitive. The automatic suggestions were helpful, even when not exactly what I wanted, in introducing relevant features. Very impressed.

great editing software with the basic features that you would need even on the free version. I was surprised that those features are available on the free version now after a few months of using it and planning to buy the paid version.
  • Basic (free) version is useless.

Opened audio recording. Deleted 2 seconds of audio. Got "Purchase smth" alert when tried to save an audio. Sent 1 star on AppStore. Used iMovie for the job.

Adding a review because I see this app has unfairly negative reviews. I like Wavepad because it is extremely simple and easy to use. It's the Sublime Text of audio editors. I'm sad to see some people having problems, but I've never had an issue, and am happy to have paid for the full version. Good piece of software!
