You just have to set up your important places and you’re done. Use it to track your work time, time you spend with clients, in the gym, at home, in your favourite coffee shop or restaurant. The possibilities are endless. You can even have it push all your time intervals to your calendar (for example iCloud calendar). • Works fully automatically in the background, so you don’t even have to open it • But you’ll want to open it: to check the beautiful and useful calendar view • Insightful statistics • Excel/Number reports (Pro version) • Backup (Pro version) • Free version lets you try it with one location, Pro version let’s you track up to 20 places

I am a nurse educator and work at 14 different sites. I purchased the full version of the app and it makes tracking my mileage for work effortless!

I’ve had this app for over 5yrs now and still use it to this day. I never have any issues with it. The app works great!
  • No longer works as of iOS 16.4

Apple changed background updates in 16.4 and this app (and others) no longer works. Other apps have worked around the problem, but not Rewind. The developer says he updated this app for the problem, but it doesn’t work for me.

I’ve been using this app for 7+ years and it does what I’ve expected quite well this entire time. It’s low battery consumption as well. It’s just a fantastic utility and I’m so glad I’ve had it all this time.

I always liked this app but it recently stopped working for me. I contacted the support but no answer for troubleshoot tips. Hopefully it happens and I can raise my ratting soon.

Consistently not “ending” a timeframe when leaving a location after updating to ios15 Wish there was a way to change first day of the week to Monday Great app overall. :)
  • Excellent *lightweight* location history app!

The best thing about this app is by FAR the fact that you can have never even opened it since you updated iOS, but it will still be dutifully updating your location records behind the scenes taking up very very minimal system resources (and as it’s about as far in the background & as lightweight as possible you can feel a little bit more secure about your metadata). And it is just a small one time fee. The downside is, of course, that with the pro version you can have only 20 locations for the app to match up with (otherwise the timeline is blank) - you can set a location as no longer active (your history retains those highlights in the timeline), but I don’t remember if the location no longer counts against your 20. I believe that is the case (otherwise it wouldn’t be a very useful feature now would it!? Hah). In addition (I believe this is b/c the app is checking to see if your current location matches with anything on your 20 and that’s about it. Rather than actively recording your location which can be analyzed later to determine things like when you’re traveling between places, new locations, etc) it won’t show when you were traveling and such. But that’s what makes this so light weight. I will be honest - I also use Life Cycle, which I think is a great app as well and does what it’s supposed to very well (but is subscription based) - probably because having gaps in things like my location timeline annoy me lol. While the sky is the limit in terms of PoIs (and what you’re doing there) you need to have the app open in the background at all times. And need to go through it every now and then and cleanup the data + add new locations. Result is a much richer set of data. But if you have a pretty regular routine and/or rarely go to many new or different places/don’t require a detailed log of everywhere you’ve been abs what you’ve been doing there I would absolutely just stick with Rewind. I mean why not?? Set it once and forget it and know your data is being captured!

This is the best app for people who want to be conscious about the time they spend at specific locations... I use it to track my hours at work (salary), time spent at the gym, and time I spend at home. It is beautiful simple. Does one thing, and does it EXTREMELY well. The developers really understand the K.I.S.S. principal! I eventually got the pro version to help the developers and show them love... I would recommend this app to anyone looking for a simple way to track time spent at specific places!
  • Simple, efficient app

I have been using the pro version of this app for about a year, and I have found it efficient and fairly accurate. There are two things I would like to see added, both related to reports/summaries rather than data collection. 1. there are times when my pie chart does not account for large swaths of my time due to the fact that it was not spent in one of my tracked locations. It does show me the actual time in hours, so I can do the math myself, I suppose, but I’d like to see the option of a an “other” (ie all non tracked locations) so that the chart would accurately reflect the time spent in a given tracked location as a percentage of my time. 2. I would like to be able to indicate categories for locations — eg, if I work in two locations, I’d like to be able to indicate both of these locations are “work” for the purpose of data reporting, and have the option to be able to view that data as combined. Otherwise, this is an excellent app for doing exactly what it says it will do without any noticeable impact on the overall functioning of my phone.

Does not work as reliable as Geofency! It also has a huge impact on my battery. ☝🏼
