The app leaves a lot to be desired. Especially since they charge you to use it. Too much hassle to reset the app every single time you want to use it. Won’t be paying for their horrible app.

I’ve been using this for about three years. I would never suggest anything that I wouldn’t stand behind and told family and friends about this method/device. I haven’t had a bad steak in years and neither have they. We’ve come to the conclusion it’s the only way to cook steak. Sous vide for about an hour and sear for a few minutes on each side always perfect. Even skirt steak which is always a challenge to cook comes out perfect and tender every time, sous vide before I go to work (9-10 hours) and char on the grill for a few minutes. Highly recommend.

This app will not maintain the connection to my Nano. And, when you follow the reconnection steps, that fails. It takes 3-4 tries to reconnect.

They are moving their app to subscription. The soys vide doesn’t connect with my iPad whenever my phone is on. Get a better product, save yourself the aggravation.

You know, I bought the appliance. Now they want to hook me with a subscription fee that cost almost as much as chat gpt. Chat gpt gives me access to all the knowledge of all time recorded by man. What’s this app give me? Access to some recipes and the ability to connect with my phone? I think I should be able to connect with my phone for free

I’ve eaten food made in a sous vide process and it promoted me to buy my own. Everything I’ve made so far has been delicious. I’m looking forward to precooking a lot of chicken and pork for future meals.

Used to be able to utilize a bunch of built-in app features for free and now pretty much everything but basic WiFi connectivity to your unit is paywalled. Disappointing!

The Anova with the app has worked out great for us. The recipes are spot on. It looks as if the app now has a pre-heat phase so that the timer starts when the water is at the right temperature.

Requiring a subscription just to use this app was a really dumb decision. The app used to be great, and I’m sure it still works well. But I’ll never subscribe, so you’ve just lost a customer. Congratulations.
