  • Great App- some bugs with type out

Typically I use a journal for verse memorization- however this app helps me practice no matter where I am. My one frustration is I notice at least regarding the CSB translation that following hyphens it does not accept answers, whether correct or not. An example of this would be Deuteronomy 32:4, which begins by saying “The Rock— his work is perfect…” No matter how many times I try typing “h” following the hyphen it deems me incorrect. However, this app overall has been of immense assistance in my spiritual journey
  • Like the interface, but Speakout needs work

I am testing out a number of memorization apps, and while I like the interface of this app—keeping track of my progress of each Bible book—the Speak Out needs a lot of work. It is difficult to use on “longer” portions of scripture (more than 2 verses), because it resets and/or skips and marks incorrectly words that have been spoken. I have found the speaking software of other (free) apps to be more accurate and helpful. (And yes… I learned to be careful to annunciate words and speak methodically through use of all the apps I am testing.)
  • A great tool when it works!

I used to like this app when it worked. But now I’ve been charged three times for a plan that won’t apply to my account and the Support team will not respond to my messages. Really disappointed.
  • Thanks Verses!!

This app has helped me so much with my verses academically with many fun games to help me learn. It has also helped me grow closer to God and I would recommend this app for anyone who wants to memorize verses for school or just to grow closer to the Lord💖
  • Great Start!

There are so many apps in the App Stores for almost everything, but very few Christian apps. This app has great potential, but it needs a lot of improvement. I like this app in that it actually has the translation I actually use. I have found an app with great activities, but doesn’t have my translation, or I have the translations, but the games are really not interesting and boredom sets in soon after downloading the app. God’s Word is important. I just wish someone would get an app that has interesting activities, in my translation. This app opens up to a homepage separated into sections: 1) My Passages: lists all verses you learn that day 2) My Streak: Displays one week of streak. You cannot look back at your previous streak, which is disappointing when trying to encourage yourself after missing a day. 3) My collection: You create a file and add verses you want to learn. 4) My Creeds & Catechisms: Not helpful for those who want to learn Bible verses only without the input of what man puts out. When learning verses, there are six activities.Only two of the six activities were helpful. 1) Tap and Reveal: Tap screen and a portion of verse appears to next punctuation mark. Not good when you are learning a verse with no punctuation. 2) Listen: Someone reads the verse. Boring and not helpful. 3) Reorder: Drag portion of verse in the order of the verse to the correct position. Not helpful if the verse can’t be broken down into portions due to lack of punctuation. 4) Word Bank: Extremely helpful. Four levels of fill in blanks. Each level has more blanks. Level 4 is totally blank. Drag words in the order verse reads. 5) Type Out: Extremely helpful. Type first letter of verse until complete. 6) Speak Out (Beta): Has potential, but doesn’t work. It either records what you didn’t say, or doesn’t record at all. Either way, I rarely am able to get this to work. As you can see, the activities need some improvement. I’ve been using this app for 16 weeks, because I really want to learn God’s Word and it’s the only app I’ve been able to find in my translation. I am really surprised though that it doesn’t have more interesting activities. I can think of some really good one, if someone could develop it. Here, let me give you some examples: 1) Shark Attack: See how far you can descend the depths of the ocean by eating the word that is next in the verse. Verses are those that appear in your “My Passages” list. 2) Angry Bird concept: Shoot a stone at the next word, clearing the levels. As you progress the levels, they become more complicated, making learning the verse a challenge. 3) Frogger Concept: Frogs jump to the next word, progressing through levels. Goal is to jump until you make a mistake in your verse. 5) Flash cards: Quiz “My Passages” by either providing the verse address or the verse itself. If verse appears, give address. If address appears, give verse. One more thing that was a bit annoying and it can’t be turned off. A pop up seems to appear to supposedly give you a breather. Problem is, it appears right in the middle of doing a verse and interrupts your train of thought, often making you forget the verse or next verse. Like I said, Just some thoughts

I paid for a different version once before. Now I paid the one year and it didn’t even unlock anything. I tried to restore purchases and nothing. I’ve reached out to support and nothing.

I have used this app for a couple of years now and Bible memorization gets a lot easier the more you do it. Praise God for the amazing brains He has given us! Plus it has brought me closer to him and the Holy Spirit brings up verses in my mind when I need them most! ❤️
  • It works

I’ve tried many ways to memorize scripture and I thought if there was an app like Duo Lingo I could see myself keeping up the habit. After a little research I found this and I’m a few months in and have 17 verses memorized. I feel more confident sharing scripture.

This app is perfect for me to be able to memorize God’s word. There are several different options to challenge yourself. Since I have struggled to memorize verses in the past this app is a life changer. So thankful for a friend who recommended this to me 💗

Thank you so much for this app!!! I have used it for years now, and it really has blessed me. I’ve always known that verse memorization is important, but I don’t always have my Bible with me. I’ve tried many other apps, but they simply are just too complicated. This app is exactly what I need. I just sit down for around 5-10 minutes everyday and practice a few verses. In a few months, I had the entire fifth chapter of Matthew memorized! Thank you again for this app. For the producers: Would you consider adding the original Greek and Hebrew versions of the text? Even if it is just the versions in the public domain. That would be great if so!
