Description

Meet True Key™ by McAfee – the easier, safer way to unlock your digital world! Save yourself the frustration – True Key will remember your passwords for you, automatically filling in your account info on apps and websites so you don’t have to “forgot password” ever again. True Key will also generate secure passwords for your most important accounts. Your True Key account automatically syncs across all your devices, including desktop and mobile devices, so you’ll have access to your passwords everywhere you go! Enhance your personal security – Password Generator will create strong 8-30 character passwords for you to use on any account such as banking, email or credit card accounts, and will autofill the password for you when you’re logged into True Key so you don’t have to worry about forgetting it. Quickly access your accounts – use Face ID and Touch ID for speedy access to your True Key account, allowing you to automatically and securely login to all your apps and websites on your iOS devices. You can use 2nd device authentication as an extra layer of security when logging in – just swipe the notification on your 2nd device to verify it’s you.

  • Not enough flexibility!

Password storage is great, but syncing across multiple devices is not as reliable as I would like. The other shortcomings of the service/ app include the inability to change one’s default email and not being allowed to change the master password.

Love this app. Don’t know how I would keep up with all the different passwords with it!

  • Disappointment After Two Years with TrueKey – Needs Improvement

I’ve been a TrueKey user for over two years, and while the concept of the app initially appealed to me, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The promise of seamless sign-ins is great, but in reality, it falls short. Every attempt to use TrueKey on my iPhone, whether for web or app logins, results in the same frustrating error message: “Unexpected error has occurred. Please try again.” Selecting TrueKey over iCloud Keychain should be a smooth process, but it’s anything but. The app only signs me in half the time, and its inconsistency is a major drawback. Its buggy and faulty nature makes me question its reliability compared to other password managers. With my subscription nearing its end, I’m seriously considering switching to a different service. A product should deliver on its promises, and unfortunately, TrueKey doesn’t. It fails to function properly, even in basic tasks like opening. For an app designed to simplify access, these issues are more than just minor inconveniences—they undermine the entire purpose of the app. My advice to potential users: consider other options that might offer a more reliable experience.
  • The last update was three years ago.

Mcafee stopped supporting the TrueKey app through updates three years ago. The bug-filled app makes calling for help futile. The support staff don't know what you are talking about because they don't know the products, probably because they do not use the TrueKey app. If the TrueKey app is supposed to be a security product—not updating the app for three years is a complete failure.

Seems to be good just wish it had a face verification for password
  • Less Security by using this?

I have not tried the app but it seems to me that because the app has one login for every login then doesn’t that make it easier, say for a domestic partner gone bad, to get into every single thing and in addition create new accounts in your name more conveniently because of the auto fill? So, isn’t this a step backwards in security?

  • Please change age restriction

Please change age restriction. My son would like to use your app again but he is restricted because of app’s setting on IOS App Store. I do not see any risk with your app for 9 year old. My son have iOS parental control turned on and he is restricted because of apps age restriction settings. He used to used your app but because of apple’s parental control changes, the app was removed. The only way he will use it if apps age restriction is lowered to anything below 9 years old. Thank you.
