It’s more valuable as a part of a whole ecosystem but it’s incomplete. The app icon should display the current date and day. I’m sure Gemini integration is coming but mainly there needs to be a quick action to add or change an event by voice but also to talk to the calendar the way you would an assistant. When does the school year start? How many days until my flight? I’ve rescheduled my doctors appointment from this Friday to the 14th at 9.

Used to be my favorite calendar app by far. I love organization, and this does it well, but I wish there were more colors and being able to rename the colors. I want to remember I’m using tangerine for friends, appointments, or work stuff. If I can rename each of them, it would make things easier to remember. I personally like to throw everything on my calendar. Many months later and my critique still stands, let me rename the colors. Microsoft does a great job at this. Apple calendars lets you create and name calendars, which you can use to organize the different categories of events. Plus the reminders app is better than the google tasks app. Sorry google, I gave you plenty of time to add this feature.

Works well for the most part but I’ve had the app freeze twice on me now randomly. Once when adding a location to an event, and another while just scrolling through my schedule. Also one of my events that I entered on the web version didn’t sync with the app when others did. Not sure why but somewhat concerning as well

Google Calendar is an excellent tool—its integration with Tasks is intuitive and a major productivity asset. However, there are two recurring issues that waste time and interrupt workflow: 1. Task Creation Errors: Occasionally, when adding a task, I receive a generic error message and the task doesn’t save. This forces me to re-enter the task entirely, including the subject and description, which feels like a waste—especially when I’m moving quickly. 2. Text Selection in Descriptions (iOS): When trying to copy text from a task’s description on an iPhone, it’s nearly impossible to select all text. The interface restricts scrolling while selecting, so I’m only able to copy what’s visible on screen—often requiring tedious piecemeal copying. These friction points reduce the reliability and efficiency of a tool that otherwise works well. Improving error handling (e.g., autosaving partial input or restoring failed entries) and fixing the text selection behavior on iOS would significantly enhance the user experience.

Just here to make a request: add a few more colors to assign to events. Like hot pink, teal, etc.

I love the app, but anytime on mobile when I am creating a new calendar event, then try to type in location, it just completely freezes and I have to close the app and redo it all again. So frustrating!

It's 2025, why is there still no way to upload an image or attachment to a calendar entry in the app? I don't want to have to open the Google Drive upload an attachment and then go into calendar and link it!

After FINALLY fixing the bug that made touching a date go into daily mode rather than schedule mode, the new updates brought that bug back. Stop telling us you’re “passing it along to the team” when you’re not even reading these reviews!
