    I have been using Ride With GPS for about 4 years now, after switching from Strava. I’m very happy with the ability to track my rides over the weeks/months/years. I’m also happy with the ability to find or create new routes. This second part is where Ride with GPS excels. This app is not perfect, but it is continuously improving. I appreciate this commitment to improvement.

    I’ve been using Ride with GPS for almost 10 years now and I love it! I love being able to plan my routes. It shows me the elevation changes in my rides, the surface I’m riding on, etc. And when I ride a planned route, it tells me when to turn, etc. - no more stopping to look at maps. If I just go out for a ride, I can tell it to save the ride so I can see the route I took, the mileage and the terrain. I also love looking back over the years and seeing my stats for a certain month or year. I don’t care what the Strata people say, I’ll never change from Ride With GPS.

    I’m going on 14 years as a paid subscriber and RWGPS keeps getting better. They keep up with app and internet technology and adapt to new devices on the market. The global heat map is invaluable to my wife and I when we’re out of town, whether traveling specifically to bike or simply renting bikes to explore the area. Heat maps keep us safer and direct to popular biking destinations. Keep it up RWGPS.

  • No control over all clear alert

    While reminding you of an on coming car is very important while paired with Garmin radar Varia, the all clear is not, as in 99% of time you see the car(s) pass. However, both alerts are set at the same level of loudness and both interfere with your listening or communications. Allowing the users to control the all clear alert will improve satisfaction with the product significantly

    I gave this app a year. Good thing there’s good customer service because you are going to need it!! Interface is unnecessarily complicated and stats often inaccurate. Have switched to Kamoot.

    I tried the app today following a pre-recorded group ride. I had the directions in my ear which was great. I did have a problem where I made the wrong turn and all I heard was a single ding. I didn’t know what that meant so I continued. I think for the subscription price it should be a bit more convincing, like 5 dings or a boing or even the voice saying you made the wrong turn. When I figured out that I had gone the wrong way it was difficult to get back on track. There is no help from the app voice control. I looked at the map and misread the icon direction that I was going. I thought the light (???) was a tail and went the wrong direction. Ended up closing the app and getting directions from the map app on my phone to get back to the start. I went 10 miles out of my way.
