I’m a HUGE fan of the classic peggle. My college GPA suffered a whole point due to a peggle addiction. With such a compelling formula, I can’t understand why EA would sully it so. There are peggle fans who would pay $100 for a classic version and then incremental amounts for additional level packages. I know I would. I don’t play any games anymore but was feeling nostalgic, so I downloaded peggle blast. I agree with the other reviews that suggest the additional obstacles and limited lives not only take out the joy and satisfaction, they also goes so far as to make it a stressful, frustrating experience. About the only positive side effect is that I refuse to pay for lives and boosts on principle, which means I eventually run out of lives and can’t play for hours at a time like I used to. If I’m searching for something positive to say, I do like how the aiming works in this version.
  • The ADS!

THIS IS A GREAT GAME BUT THE ADS MAKE IT UNBEARABLE. NONE OF MY FRIENDS PLAY IT ANYMORE BECAUSE WE CAN’T STAND THE AMOUNT OF ADDS YOU NEED TO SIT THROUGH. ITS UNREALISTIC AND UNBEARABLE. WHAT A SHAME.
  • Forced ads after every level, no way to pay to remove them

I would pay to remove ads. But being forced to watch an ad after every single level makes it completely unplayable. I’m deleting my account and the app and will discourage anyone else from investing even a minute of time trying to play it.
  • Play proper Peggle, this isn’t it.

Play 60 Levels and then enjoy level design meant to force you to use consumable abilities. One of the more annoying things is the way pegs get cleared from the level as they are hit. The physics are a mediocre port to mobile as well, which would be fine if the game was a consistent reasonable challenge.
  • Why?

I love Peggle. Very fun game. But why in the holy mother of god do you punish your players by making there no way to listen to music or podcasts while playing the game? All you did was piss me off and now I don’t want to play anymore. Seems counterintuitive

EA has never returned this game. They bought the rights and shut it down. Please bring back Silent Death. Love *Pluto*
  • Fun till it’s time to pay

After level 30 you will be forced to pay to continue. That’s just part of why it’s not like the original.
  • This game is really bad

This game smears the good name of John Peggle and his dog Bjorn. The difficulty of the levels change eratically from easy enough to win on first try to spend a week and you *might* beat it. There's microtransactions everywhere to make sure when you get to one of those impossible levels that you give in and buy some power ups. Not to mention ads at every loss. Also the ball in this game is heavier than the original peggle games probably to stop you from getting higher peg combos and having too much fun. Overall this game reeks of greed much like everything else EA gets their grubby hands on, and isn't worth your time. Go play peglin or something.
  • It starts off like any other peggle game..

However, when you get a little further in, the levels go from difficult, to nearly impossible. At first i was thinking, maybe i’m just rusty at the game. Despite beating all other Peggle games, it had been a while since i last played. But i went back and played them and i found the issue. This game is super hard because they want you to spend money on the microtransactions. Extra balls, lives, power ups, etc. This game is designed around making the player feel the need to buy stuff to beat certain levels. At first i was jumping through hoops and figuring out how to beat the levels myself. It just took time as any other free-to-play mobile game with microtransactions. But then you get ridiculous levels with constantly fast moving pieces and unbreakable pegs making it impossible to get to the pegs that you need to break. Then it doesn’t feel like it would just take time anymore. i read some posts on Reddit of people who took 100 plus days to pass one level. Uninstalled.
  • Classic example of a good game ruined by greed.

I remember playing this game endlessly on car rides as a kid on my dads iPad. I played it even more at home on my Xbox. The game now is nothing like what it used to be and it’s pathetic. You get 5 lives that take 20 minutes each to refill, on levels that are almost impossible to complete without buying .99 cent power ups. The Peggle masters are useless in these levels that take a minimum of 2-3 lives to complete. It’s very insulting seeing one of the best mobile games ever created be drowned by greed and micro transactions. The gameplay is frustrating and stressful. Compared to 8-10 years ago when it was actually a relaxing fun game to play.
