  • 18 dollars per month!?

    By katy blaszak
I wanted to learn Russian on this app, and I’ve seen ads and the ads did not mention that so many of the courses are blocked that you need to pay to unlock! I didn’t think this was a big deal at first, and I thought I could just pay for it, but then I saw how it was $18 per month! To learn a language?! Look, I get they need to earn money somehow, but 18 per month TO LEARN A LANGUAGE!? I feel as if it’s severely overpriced, I learned TWO. WORDS. and then they want me to pay 18!? Would not recommend..
  • Confusing

    By Confused Gk
I’m confused as to why sometimes words are out of order and the word “Que” means different things only sometimes. I don’t know when to use formal and informal. I learned Spanish as a child from relatives, but I have not been in touch with them in decades and everything here is very different.
  • No Vietnamese; Have to buy every language separately

    By ORHobbes
The app is ok, but there is no Vietnamese option, which means I have to use Duolingo instead. Also, every other language app I have used charges one subscription that gives you unlimited access to all languages, so you can bounce back and forth if you want. But Babbel requires you buy a whole other subscription for each language you want to learn. For me, that makes it 3 times more expensive than Duolingo or Lingo Deer. They do offer a lifetime subscription, but it’s very expensive.
  • The Most Woke App Available

    By IADummy
Lessons littered with a woke agenda. Garbage.
  • Horrible Pay “Plan”

    By No bueno reviewer
Signed up for a year. Didn’t know they would auto renew without my consent. Never used the app. Auto renewed $90 again. $180 down the drain. If there were a number less than zero that would be my rating. Horrible app horrible company. Apple should dump them NOW!
  • Always wanted to speak Spanish because of my heritage

    By Erik Vo
I’ve always wanted to speak Spanish because I am 50% Mexican. But I never knew my Mexican half and never had anybody teach me. Babbel is a great app and makes things very clear and repeats them in a way that doesn’t seem like I’m a 12 year-old in school. Makes learning and retention very easy.
  • Fun while learning !

    By BABS G-V
I enjoy the sense of humor in the lessons and dialogues. It helps to make learning fun!
  • Great app! But one lil thang

    By Devoah
This app is great! But I ask for more languages like Japanese, Korean, Bangla, etc. Thanks so much, Babbel creators! But just some more language would ring the bell!
