Just updated the app and it will not let you select the overlay portion on the maps.

Dude why would you do a update of this scale DURING hunting season?! Now all my pins are gone! All my scouting, stand locations, tracks, saved properties, ALL GONE! I’m switching to OnX Update: 5/23/25 Even after all the negative reviews that hunt stand received, they still didn’t correct the problems and get the app back to what it used to be. Whoever made the decision to do that update needs to be fired. Used to be invaluable now it’s worthless. Everything is glitchy and it’s way too complicated now to be useful. When I’m scouting I want to be able to add a bunch of information as quickly as possible but now every time I want to add a deer trail marker or scrape marker or tree stand marker I have to scroll thru a bunch of useless marker types to get to the types us hunters use every time we’re in the field. Then you have to hit save like 3 or 4 different times for it to actually populate. It makes the app not user friendly for people who actually use it for hunting. Now that my yearly subscription has expired, I am paying for OnX right after I get finished writing this review. Nice job Hunt Stand

As of May 21,2025 for the past 3 or 4 weeks property lines does not show up. It gives me the icon to select them but when I press it nothing happens. It used to work flawlessly.

Each time an update occurs things get changed and or stop working, not because they aren’t working and are efficient but just for some reason that some random HuntStand developer thinks needs to be different. This app has steadily declined as time and updates has gone by. Wouldn’t hurt to look elsewhere for a similar app that may be functional when they decide to make changes

Used to be the best app for parcel information but after the most recent updates it’s been terrible. Can’t even get parcel information or owners info anymore because after the latest update it doesn’t allow you to change pages on the app. So when you open the menu it’s stuck on base, you can not access overlays or weather. At this point the app is pretty much useless. Fix it asap!!

Update 5/13/25: Unsubscribed and deleted due to more bugs, glitches, unresolved help tickets for lost boundaries, synch issues and technical glitches. I’ve been a subscriber for years but the latest updates on iPad and iPhone are not great. At all!!! Interface used to be more intuitive with the layers, now have to search for tools and set toggle bars for landowner info as an example. Was easier just to select property ownership as the layer! Also what happened to the synch option as now there are issues synching markers and such across devices. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall the app multiple times on different devices to force a synch. Used to be a great app but now…2/5 stars when things become harder and less intuitive to users! Thinking about switching apps / platforms as this is a big step in the wrong direction.

Used to be a good app platform but within the last year it has gotten bad. Live GPS sometimes doesn’t work. Missing boundary map lines at times. Oversized pin drops that take up a lot of room on map. Distance measurement always showed 0 yards or Feet. Wish they would get this right or I’m going to have to switch everyone on my lease to OnXhunt.

I paid for the Pro subscription and have been locked out for 8 of the 12 month subscription. I have had over 15 emails with customer service who says they can’t find my subscription after being sent confirmation #’s and receipt for payment. The “development team” can’t figure it out. I asked for a refund or extend my subscription and they can’t even do that. If I could give 0 stars that would be generous.

This sets up as an auto renewal and there is no way to end it. I tried reaching out but good luck with that. No easy way to do it other than contact the credit card company and halt any payments to this company. Additionally, the email box doesn’t send. I checked my sent folder and nothing. Things that make you go hmmmmm.

HuntStand had quickly become a necessary tool for our hunts. We do so much planning and work around what we see and do in this app. We wouldn’t try to hunt without the wind charts.
