  • App won’t work on Mac or iPhone

    Neither the Mac install nor the app are working for me. It’s incredibly frustrating that I cannot use my Cricut when the app is down. When it’s working, it’s insanely finicky about how to use it.

    I’ve used a lot of design software (not just for vinyl) and Design Space is one of the least user friendly programs I’ve tried. It even kept be away from Cricut products because of the many roadblocks I tend to encounter. I finally gave Cricut a try when they came out with the “Joy” machine, many because of the Joy software. The free Joy software was not packed with features, but it was straightforward and I found I was using it a lot. When the Joy software was discontinued, I was very disappointed but gave the Design Space a try. I feel like a victim of the ol’ bait and switch. Attempting to make designs on my phone with design space is a very frustrating experience. I’m going to try again with my ipad, but I will not beat my head against the wall but rather sell the Joy and stick with Cricut’s competitor who has ALWAYS had free and easy to use software.

    You need to make the delete feature stay at the area where you deleted a picture so you don’t have to scroll all the way back down to where you deleted a picture

    I’ve had my Cricut for about 7 years and the access and connectivity are the worst. I’ve only been able to use it a handful of times because it takes over an hour to connect and cut anything. I’m really disappointed in the product and wish they would make it right for those of us who paid a lot of money for it. Do better!

    I honestly never leave reviews, but this is by far the worst app I have ever used in my life. I have used it on both my laptop and my iPhone and I have had problems with each every single time I’ve used it. I have gone through every solution Such as clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating, etc. Every single time the app freezes crashes restarts, and all my work is lost. Spending over three hours to design something online just to have it vanish and to do that multiple times after trying all these fixes is infuriating. I’ve seen several Reddit threads about people who have had the same issue so I’m not sure why there has not been a revision.

    This thing is a bug infested hellhole of an app. It crashes when cutting, terrible design mechanics, resizing is hard, and it shoves everything onto different mats and messes up the alignment . DO NOT BUY Edit: they fed me corporate bulls*it. I don’t buy it. It’s a copy and paste. Don’t buy this junk. You could get a Bambu printer that actually works.

    I love my cricut(purchased 2020) I have made back 10,000% (no not a typo) of the initial machine investment. It has been so fun to learn all the different types of crafts, and monetize off of the materials i’ve mastered. My only complaint is the app crashes. I will have to get a different machine soon if the unreliability continues. I wonder if there could be another app for cricut business - higher efficiency/quality and more reliability??
