This new version has a lot of great upgrades from the last. Worth the update.

Better when all features were located in one program and not needing multiple programs to actually do photo editing.
  • Good product but missing some functionality

I bought PSE25 as an update to PSE23, partly for the enhanced editing and partly to get RAW support for my new camera. The Organizer hasn’t changed much and I’m comfortable with that having used PSE for almost 15 years. Some of the functionality in the editor is definitely improved on PSE23 and I like that too. However, the negative is that the Photo Downloader didn’t install so I can’t load photos directly from my camera or card reader. There is a work around but it’s clunky. I have to copy the photos to a directory on my Mac and load into PSE from there. Another negative is that PSE offers functionality to load from iPhoto. But Apple doesn’t use iPhoto anymore and hasn’t for some time. I haven’t tested this because I don’t really use Apple Photos and maybe it works with Photos and it’s just the name that’s wrong. Finally, I’m not real happy with the 3 year license concept but I guess I can live with it for now. I did contact Adobe support over the Photo Downloader issue but they’ve gone quiet. I’m hoping it will get fixed with an update but I’m not holding my breath. So PSE25 gets 3 stars for the good stuff but the Photo Downloader issue and the 3 year license prevents it getting more. Update: I had more or less figured out the workarounds for the issues I mentioned above. Then I installed the latest MacOS - Sequoia 15.5 - and it all stopped working. Photos in the catalog weren’t getting connected to the relevant file and even after connecting them, PSE25 would lose the connection when I next went to use them. Worse, PSE25 stopped recognizing my RAW files which was the main reason I updated from PSE23. So, right now, my plan is to continue using PSE23 for ‘legacy’ photos, I’ll use Affinity as my primary editor for all new photos and I’ll have a look for a decent Organizer online. I’m still hoping that Adobe will come out with an update that will fix the issues but I’m not confident that they care. So it’s $100 down the drain. All I can say is ‘Cave Emptor’ … buyer beware.
  • Glitchy, tries to take over all your photos

Have been using 2019 version for work, forced to upgrade to 2025, it’s incapable of verifying my license purchase. Use Canva, it doesn’t try to take over all the media files on your computer, and is accessible from anywhere on the web, unlike this, where the license is only good for one machine.
  • 7 Day Trial is too short

I downloaded the trial to try and stitch some panoramic images. I never figured out how to do that, much less try some of the other features. Because of this I do not have a compelling reason to purchase a 3 year subscription.

I paid $99 for a 3 year subscription. I cannot used the software at all and continue to get the message “We can’t verify your subscription status.” I uninstalled and reinstalled. Verified my internet connection. Nothing works

I have bought MANY adobe single purchase licenses through the years. I rarely use the program but like to have it for certain things. I want to purchase one time and have it for the life of this computer. I will not do a monthly license and will be changing companies.
