I’ve been using Duolingo for a year and a half, and can say basic things, but my comprehension is poor when listening to a native speaker. Working with a tutor helps to hear actual conversations.

Even though the vocabulary sections need to be more expensive and the reports are way too slanted to the negative (they should have a few positives listed in just one thing to work on unless you want more,Due to the impact of negativity bias). It’s a decent AI, Spanish language practice program.

I’ve been using hablo for some weeks now. I already speak some Spanish, but just want to get better. The software isn’t the best for hearing. Sometimes I’ll speak during “chat libre” and be interrupted. Sometimes the ai model will mispronounce things as if in English. For example “comes” is pronounced “com-es,” yet pronounced as “comes” in English. Many times it can’t even hear me after saying an easy word very clearly. “De” and “te” are virtually inaudible. Very useful app though, just some significant bugs that need to be worked out, especially for those who may not know any Spanish at all. The rating would be a lot less if I didn’t know Spanish.

The explanation of what will be taught disappear too quickly. If there was an option to hold the screen or repeat the screen, this would be helpful.

When doing the follow to speak, it does not allow you to read the questions before prompting you what to say. I also feel like you need word flashcards with meanings. I also feel like I need to be able to go back to correct my statements. Instead of the AI, just moving onto the next subject. Also having a small list of vocabulary words and how to pronounce them. Before each lesson would be a good idea.
