HOW TO PLAY TICKET TO RIDE: Players are dealt a number of tickets and must pick a certain number to keep (depending on the map). Players are also dealt four train cards of various colours. This number can also vary depending on the map you’re playing on, but don’t worry – the AI takes care of this! Each turn, players can draw two train cards from the face-up pile, draw two train cards from the face-down pile, draw another ticket to complete, or use their train cards to claim a route! A claimed route is shown by placing train pieces along the route. When a player has three or fewer train pieces left, the last round starts. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the winner!     There are so many weird things about this version… the rank score is reset monthly so you have no idea if someone is very good, bad, or just never plays. It’s really hard to see where cities are, especially on SFO when there are also items on cities. India is based on completing mandalas but once a ticket is complete the cities go away so you have to remember where you were trying to play. It’s so much better than when they first launched but I wish they’d spend more time on the actual games and less on the gimicky train car types.

  • DESPERATELY needs turn notification for Aysnc game

    Decent adaption of the board game. Desperately needs to have the option for notifications when it is your turn in Aysnc games. Aysnc is unplayable that was a TTR is one of the best options for a play and pass board game. Could also reduce the load time and make it easier to invite your friends to an Aysnc game. Would love to play more and buy other boards but without the notification it is unplayable for long term games

    In the board game. Route and colored tickets are not shuffled until the route is completed. Route cards are random and one can see the same route in a subsequent draw. The game is also rigged with duplicate route cards.

  • What’s with this required Bubble account?

    I’ve been using Ticket To Ride for years. Even had to rebuy everything with the new design! This required Bubble account is very poorly implemented and hijacks the screen and forces one to set up an account. Okay, no problem—except I’m a 65-year old man and I’m being required to provide my parents’ approval!!! So I did provide the steps—several times—even providing my parents approval—only for the system to perpetually present a perpetual spinner. I can NOT play Ticket To Ride online.

    Do not but this new version. It plays horribly on my older iPad. Freezes often. Choppy and slow. Do not waste your momey. The old version was fine and worked so much better. Joe Pfeiffer. Possibly the worst playing game that I have ever purchase for my iPad.

    This latest update makes it impossible to join games. There are too many available to play…once you pick a game and wait for everyone the person or ‘bugged player’ doesn’t start to the game. Frustrating! I loved this game but haven’t played it once since the update

  • This app is pretty good, but could use improvements for online

    Gameplay is good, local and online with friends is good too. I am always waiting in online rooms though. There should be a way to kick out the host of a room if they don’t click ready within a certain amount of time, because everyone is usually ready besides them.

  • Overload of game choices

    Not sure if there was an update or what is going on. But there are too many games showing for online play. They don’t seem to be legitimate games. When finishing a game it seems to start a new online game automatically. Thinking this might be the issue. Please fix this so can actually play instead of sitting in holding area over and over and the games never starting.
