Have found this not be very accurate at all. At least here very much underestimated rainfall. For anyone who is interested in accuracy- get a rain gauge. This gives a good approximation (sometimes)

Surprisingly inaccurate. I have 3 locations that each have actual rain gauges and people to verify, and this app is never even close to reality. Also, I had 2” of rain at a location the app didn’t record, but there is no way to manually record it so that it goes into the totals for the record. We are ranchers and really watch the rain, this app isn’t much help. The free weather app on my phone is frequently more accurate.

This is by FAR the best and most accurate rain gauge app there is. I don’t know how it gets my exact local rain info but it always matches my actual outdoor gauge. Plus this app keeps records of rain fall over time. A must have.

I enjoy the immediate updates on rain amounts but a couple of days ago it just sprinkled a few drops at my house but within a half mile it rained very hard. My RainDrop gauge showed .22 when it only sprinkled here. What went wrong?
Very limited in the free version

If you just want an estimate of how much it’s rained during a limited, current time period (day, week, month, year) for one or two locations, this app is quick and easy to see that.
If you want more data such as historical values, forecasts, precipitation tracking, etc., you need to pay, and it isn’t cheap.
I can’t speak to its overall accuracy as I don’t have any rain gauges; however, I’ll probably get one, as it would give me just as much info as this app and I’d know it was accurate.
Great app stupid pricing and locked down

I'm not sure what developers are thinking anymore.
This information is free on the internet and from nat weather service (gov).
Nobody is signing up for a subscription, especially at that cost.
The app is great. Braindead marketing and execution. At least it's easy to delete.
