    Every time I try to start a round the app crashes. Pointless to own the player+ if it won’t work. Now I just have an expensive speaker.

    Played a round yesterday with no issues. When I went to play a round today, the app asked me to update to the newest version so I did. The app crashes immediately now after selecting cart or walk. I’ve even reinstalled the app. Customer support told me to do a full factory restore on MY phone to see if that fixes the problem. That has to be the dumbest and most irresponsible thing for a developer to tell a customer. Basically saying..:“It’s your phone not our app.” Fix the issue on your end and I’ll adjust my rating. This app is useless now and so is the speaker+.

    Not sure if it’s just me but the only problem I’ve ran into while playing is the app automatically starts your tee shot instead of letting you get to where you actually have to tee off from and that would definitely be a nice fix. Other than that I love the app and just received my Travis Mathew’s player speaker and can’t wait to get back out and play a round with it!!

    The app has great options to it but it’s extra glitchy! You’ll get annoyed with it and you have to input each club that you used at each hit. The putter is not included though. I scored a 6 on a par 5 today, 3 hits plus 3 putts. But once I tried to add the number of putts it would reset and not let me put in the correct score. Very annoying app but at least their expensive speaker shows the yardage… that’s the only beneficial thing of having it so far.

    I bought the blue tees Player+ speaker and downloaded the app to sync with me speaker and 2 year premium membership. The app is pretty solid and easy to use. I give it 4 stars because it’s missing a crucial feature that 18 Birdies has and that is course previews. The only way to preview a course is to start a round and then go through it but you have to delete the round after. I hope they add that in. And my rounds don’t sync with my handicap and I can’t find out or figure out anywhere how to sync them so it updates my handicap. Hopefully they make an easier way to do this because I’ve looked everywhere to make it work with no luck.

    The app is mostly good, not super intuitive but I can get around that. My biggest complaint is that I can’t track anyone else’s score in app but my own unless they have a Blue Tees account and I play mostly with my technology-challenged father who can’t seem to get the account setup properly. I’d love it if you could add guests in without accounts. I keep seeing responses to other reviews saying this feature is coming (in April, then June) well it’s September now. Still no guests in the scorecard.

  • Overly complicated

    Use this app and paired with my Bluetooth speaker. Kept score on it the entire round but at the end it only showed my score for about 1/3 of the holes that I played. This has happened twice now. Half the time it doesn’t pair with the speaker should be so much simpler than it is.

    I have the Player+ which is a great bit of kit. But the app just isn’t as good as what I use currently (Golf Shot). Biggest complaint is auto shot tracking and club recommendation are missing. I still haven’t really figured out how to make this app work for me. Again the speaker is great.
