Sincerely - Off My Chest

I enjoyed this app for the time I used it. It was helpful to have a place to write thoughts down and also nice to be able to help others. That being said however, there is one aspect of the app that bothers me. Once you write a letter, you can’t delete it or take it out of circulation at least for some time unless you pay for the upgraded version. For an app that encourages you to pour your heart out honestly, I would really have thought it a necessary feature to allow the opportunity to withdraw letters. Sometimes you write things in the moment and your heart/mind changes, or you just wanted to get it off your chest then. Wanting someone to listen to you during a difficult time doesn’t mean you want someone there another time. Receiving responses to these same letters many days after can hurt when you’re reminded of something you would prefer to move on from or forget. Some words aren’t meant to survive the night, especially if they’re difficult to think about. I just wish this important feature wasn’t hidden behind a paywall. Other than that, the app is excellent with a very good interface, and I appreciate what it offered.

why do I have to pay to vent for more then twice a day? that’s so stupid.

This app is amazing I get to talk to people about problems than can be hard to to other about in person and even the Ai chat box is helpful it literally felt like a professional therapist was giving me advice as I was figuring out my emotions

Can literally replace your therapist.

$7 a week is ridiculous

I came across this app on Instagram. I thought why not give it a try. Like most apps that show some appeal it’s only free for so long then you have to pay. Hear me out here… this is a great tool for individuals to ultimately get thoughts and feelings out and to actually have a neutral 3rd party respond without judgment and I love that idea. But….. why not keep a free version for those that can’t necessarily afford an extra expense? Like the free version could be a letter a week or say 4-5 per month usable when needed. The paid version; write and respond to as many as you want. Just a thought. I really do think this is a great idea with so much potential. My free days are running out and I actually deleted earlier only to have a bad afternoon where I needed to vent and redownloaded. Let me know what you think! 👍

i loved until you put a pay wall on venting more than a certain amount in 24 hours. i get you need money to run, but that genuinely feels to ruin the entire aspect of what the app stands for.

Its okay. I dont like how it works sometimes, but it does do what you downloaded it for. They dont tell you but you get ads, they aint bad but it does upset me when it comes up.

I like it but I think adding voice messages would be really cool and more fun
