  • CmB has changed, in a not so good way.

I recall when CmB was an awesome dating app to use. The overall concept and just simply the name was/is great. Fast forward to today and something tells me that a lot of these profiles of people/women are inactive profiles. This includes the profiles under the Discover tab. I know there's the Active within the last 72 hours function, but the effort of description in these profiles tell me that they're either fake profiles or inactive. The profile may be an actual user but they have been inactive on CmB for months. Maybe not even have the app on their phone any longer. Most likely they did not suspend or delete their account when coming off. I think CmB should have a system that filters out profiles where the user has not been active the least 2-3 weeks, and putting priority to the daily active profiles. Us active users shouldn't continue to pay for extra coffee beans or a premium subscription if a lot of the profiles have had zero activity for some weeks.

Everyone raves about it, but it seems like a fancier version of POF to me. It could be my location though. I’m in Phoenix, AZ which is notorious for its extremely shallow dating culture. Overall, not impressed.

A few issues here and there but overall a good app.
  • Gets very expensive to use

So I wanted to like this app but I can’t. It was fun at first but then It’s getting pretty expensive. I hate the whole bean thing because you have to keep purchasing them to like more people who probably won’t even like you back. So 36$ to subscribe and then another 25$ to buy more beans so you can like more guys...I just canceled my subscription. Only use if you’re not very serious about dating or you don’t mind spending a lot on it.

First of all, look at the 10 most recent reviews for all dating apps. How many of those are positive ratings, and definitely not bots? Some largely empty profiles, some recurring profiles, most profiles are “popular”. Expensive if you wanna use discovery or use beans. I do match sometimes, which is remarkably more than other apps. However, If there was a conversation, it literally stopped dead. Most recent match left the chat before I even said anything. In other words, several months of a whole lot of nothing bagel. Don’t think I need an app anymore to tell me there aren’t really any interested women within 20 miles of me. I give this app another week before I delete it ...

Great experience meeting new people near by and met the one I want to see what can be with.
  • Waste of time

Very expensive, is constantly updated to remove the free features and hide them behind a subscription paywall, and really doesn’t do anything if you don’t shell out big bucks for the subscription. No point in using it after the first week. It’s down to two suggested profiles a day and they heavily throttle to whom your profile is displayed, to the point of being useless, so although the free version is “usable” there is no point in using it. Other apps are far better. Use those.
  • not great for getting matches with different genders

I identify as bi but I only get suggestions for men as a woman when I say in my preferences I want to meet men and women. I have to spend beans if I want to match with women or turn off suggestions for men. I hope in the future it’ll be more balanced.
