  • Practically useless for searching for wines!

Hard to believe that the one thing in the apps name, is the thing it really can't do. Let's say you want a Very Dry Merlot. The app can't help you with that. It can help you order one of their Merlot's but you can't filter for sweetness or anything else. It SHOULD provide a list of wines from everywhere, based on what you're searching for, and you could then find who sells those wines. But nope. It only shows what they're selling. We want an app that's a "Consumer Reports" for wine, but I haven't found one yet.

Love the new update but please fix the Cellar Tracker integration. When you click 'shop' from CT, it now doesn't search or pull up the wine in the new version of the app. Thank you!

You don’t get all the results if you’re not willing to pay..

A liquor store that has been defunct some 18 months still has a website up that is accepting credit card payments, even though the owners have long since left for Vietnam... someone in Houston is still taking orders for these bottles of wine that have prices that cannot be believed. 2000 Cristal at $200 a bottle. ... I couldn't help but be curious because there were several of these ones with these prices that laughed in the face of reason. if they are going to do this little research for something as blatant as this, can you imagine them doing any kind of due diligence for something that takes actual effort? this is a rhetorical question . my Wine-Searcher app is essentially an advertisement for total wine & more. I live in the fourth largest city in the United States and there are so many different interesting wine, and liquor that are completely overlooked on this application in favor of these huge chains. I guess they have to go where the money is . The ad does have a practical function outside of searching for where to purchase wine, however, when the only bottle of 1995 P.J. Champagne is located at one liquor store in Houston and it's $98 maybe check into that maybe that's not real!

Please fix the search bar. I can’t ever type in a wine. It just doesn’t open. Not going to continue subscribing if I can’t actually search wines lol

How many times do I buy an expensive wine without consulting Wine-Searcher? Never.

An extremely valuable tool in evaluating what should be paid for an individual bottle of wine or whiskey There’s no question it can help a wine, professional, whiskey, professional, or just an ordinary consumer of spirits in allocating money for purchases
  • Doesn’t Label-Search Well Anymore

You can still type the search info in and find the right wine eventually, but up till a year, maybe a year and a half ago, taking a pic of the label worked great! Now it can’t find anything with even a remote degree of accuracy. At least that’s been my experience over the last year or so. Perhaps the image database isn’t updated anymore?
