I love this app, but I wish we could archive photos incase I want to post them at a later time. Similarly, I have some old pictures that I deleted that I wish I could republish.

As someone who’s really trying to get into editing photos this app has helped me achieve so many goals of course a subscription is a bit pricey but in my opinion soooooo worth it!!!!
  • Just getting more and more expensive

I’ve used this app for over 10 years now and has been one of my favorites for how I edit my photos on my phone. I’ve used the A6 preset almost exclusively that whole time which unfortunately is not one the free presets any longer. I paid for years to just have access to that preset but that price has continued to increase to now up to $10 a month which is a lot for someone like me who isn’t needing all the features of the paid version. I do like this app but wish there was an option to pay to unlock the one filter I was using for my photos that’s less than upgrading to pro.
  • free features turned into paid… now scam ads?

what happened to the VSCO i once loved, man? tragic. the business model already made sense; purchase filters to expand your library. wasn’t enough, huh? because now features that have been free for years are under a paywall, and now the first thing i see when i open your app is an ad saying i won $10K from google? if only that were true then that’d cover a few months of adding grain to my photos. VSCO… you’re washed.
  • Annoying “Pro” ad

I’m a member and don’t need “Pro” subscription for my needs but vsco constantly pushing the add every single time on every window. So annoying. Makes me to stop posting once my membership is over and move back to IG
  • It’s fine

It’s fine to post photos on there, I love how the algorithm, liking and reposting system works, it’s a good way to share your photography, but it’s way too expensive for pretty basic editing tools imo. It also has a more problem with creepy people, mostly men asking people, mostly young girls for weird things and I’ve come across a few scams. So it’s become more popular but definitely less safe.
  • Very poorly implemented…

Can’t log in issues constantly. When asking for a password reset, it just takes you to the site without resetting password, taking you to the sign in screen again. Poorly coded.
  • Gatekeeping previously free features

I love using vsco to edit photos but it’s a big no-no to take previously free features and then turn them into paid features. Simple editing tools like adjusting the highlights and shadows are now paid features only. It makes no sense to make features that were free for years now paid only services. Add new tools and gatekeep those, but don’t rip away features loyal users were already allowed to use.

if you want to make people pay for stuff… just add a price tag to the App Store. I gfinally bit the bullet and got photoshop because i was so tired of my tried at true filters being added to a premium membership. When I go to delete my single recipe I am allowed, I run into frustration each time as the button that says delete is not available ( but you can see the coding is still there because if you hit the absent space it will delete your recipe.) it almost feels intentional at that point, especially when you look up the help article on their own website (which also shows where the delete button should be ) and it says 4/27 found it helpful. The creative space for the hobbiest has been ripped away for the popularization of the VSCO girl. let’s be real here VSCO, you don’t care about the creatives and they shouldn’t care about you honestly, because even the free photoshop app in the App Store has made my photos look better than your free filters from 2014.
