  • Essential for managing my ADHD

As someone with ADHD, this app has helped me stay on task. I downloaded it in response to failing several classes in a row. Todoist, paired with some other management techniques, has enabled me to retake the classes and pass all with an A+.

Somehow Todoist keeps getting better and more powerful without becoming more complicated or unwieldy. Todoist is the fast, fluid way to capture and see my upcoming tasks, always instantly available on all my devices and in my browser. Also, it’s perfectly compatible with Google and Apple calendars. Unscheduled todos are just wishes. I’m happy to pay for Todoist.
  • An Elegant Taskmaster

I’ve recently gotten into the whole task manager market because I didn’t realize how helpful they could be for both professional and personal use. Todoist was on recommended by a couple podcasts I subscribe to, and I immediately gave it a try. I appreciate how elegant it is, how well it does what I expect it to do. I don’t have the most demanding schedule, but it works well as a second brain. When you sign up, prepare for a deluge of emails. I’ve gotten them everyday, and all from a no reply email address. So if you have questions, you can’t ask them the easiest way by hitting reply. A good app in a crowded market of them.

Todoist is an absolute game-changer for staying organized! The intuitive design, smart task features, and seamless cross-platform sync make managing my day a breeze. The free reminders are a bonus, and the new updates keep making it even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking to boost productivity! 💪
  • Unreliable when offline

Edit: Lowered this to two stars because the response adds nothing to this review. The desktop version of Todoist is unusable if you turn on your laptop when you don’t have internet. It’s also unusable if you close the app when you’re offline. | Original review: I’ve been using Todoist for the past few weeks and have found it to be a brilliant app. Sadly, I just discovered a weakness that is going to force me to look for a better alternative. The problem is that on the web and desktop versions, Todoist doesn’t function — meaning you can’t even VIEW your lists — if you turn on or restart your device when you don’t have internet.
  • Not as Good Without Alexa

I loved this app and the ability to add things to the list by just telling Alexa. However, now that that function is gone it's not as easy as before. It's probably Amazon who cut them off, but either way, it was a function I used all the time.

I don’t think one todo/task-management app can be everything to everyone, and peoples’ needs differ, but Todoist has been an immense help to me for years now and the developers continually improve it and have been recently adding in some features that have in the past tempted me to try other apps, giving me even less reason to try another app and find myself drawn back to Todoist. Before enlightenment, add tasks and complete them. After enlightenment, add tasks and complete them.
  • Good, but not good enough on Mac

On mobile, I can change widgets to show upcoming tasks. For whatever reason, todoist has decided that's not necessary on the desktop widget. It's unfortunate and for that reason alone I've dropped it from 4 stars to 3.
  • worst app of my life

this app tricks you into thinking you're saved, but then when you try to use the app, it is UNUSABLE unless you buy into their stupid premium subscription which is ungodly expensive for what this app has to offer. Stupid paywall.
