When I was looking to find an app to find stars and planets, I found this one and it was completely free to use and you can upgrade to higher quality’s but the basic version is pretty good and you can click on the planets and it will give you many facts about the planet.Overall a good website

The stars and planets (and most easily notably, the sun) were all aligned in the right place. Now it’s so off (sun all the way on the other side of the sky), it’s nice I guess if you want to just see what all is in the sky. But if you’re hoping to be able to point it at the sky and see what star you’re looking at, be prepared for it to be VERY wrong.

This app helps you navigate the cosmos and provide so much value, both free and paid versions. High visual and accuracy quality, great articles and info, chill, calming user experience. If they could add anything else, I would request that you be able to save any searchable celestial objects to lists. I could be as simple as simple as a favorites list, but I reckon most of us would like to be able to set up multiple custom lists/tags, and be able to save time/date segments to a list, like “once in a lifetime celestial events”. It has been an invaluable tool in my astrophotography adventures. I use it screenshots of it to pair with photographs I’ve taken so people can understanding what they’re looking at in my photographs, do research on upcoming celestial events so I can plan ahead and increase my chances of capturing events/object. I use it to aid in polar alignment of my MSM Star Tracker mount. And my favorite, is using it with my family to identify objects that are piquing our interest! Thank you Sky Guide team, clear skies! 🤩🌌
