Description

Welcome to the world of Ingress Prime, Agent. The fate of this universe, and perhaps others, depends on you. The discovery of Exotic Matter (XM), a resource of unknown origin, has sparked a covert struggle between two Factions. Cutting-edge XM technologies have completely transformed the Ingress Scanner, and it is now waiting for you to join this battle. THE WORLD IS YOUR GAME Explore the world around you and interact with places of cultural significance—such as public art installations, landmarks, and monuments—to collect valuable resources using your Ingress Scanner. CHOOSE A SIDE Fight for the Faction you believe in. Harness the power of XM to evolve mankind and discover our true destiny with The Enlightened, or protect humanity from a hostile takeover of the mind with The Resistance. BATTLE FOR CONTROL Dominate territories by linking Portals and creating Control Fields to achieve victory for your Faction. WORK TOGETHER Strategize and communicate with fellow Agents in your neighborhood and around the world. Agents must be over 13 years old (for residents outside of the European Economic Area); or over 16 years old or such age needed to consent to the processing of personal data in the Agent's country of residence (for residents of the European Economic Area). Unfortunately, no children may play Ingress.

  • Sadly, time for this game to die

As someone who has played this game for years with my spouse, using both the redacted app and the prime app, it makes me very sad to say it but it is time to end this game. When Ingress was new, it was about traveling and exploring and meeting people. We had drinks with opposing agents in random corners of the world, and it was a blast. But Niantic has no system in place, no plan to prevent blatant cheating, and an incredibly poor history of communication with the player base. They take actions like recently suspending the accounts of hundreds of long-time players, for unknown reasons, with no prior notice or ability to appeal. If your account can be deleted or suspended for weeks or more at any time, with no warning and no explanation of what you did wrong, there’s really no incentive to invest time or money in planning game-related activities with your family. That’s especially true because a significant subset of ingress players have stopped playing and instead spend their time abusing in-game comms and the broken reporting process in order to harass and bully opposing players. We used to encourage all our friends to try ingress - now we advise them to avoid it like the plague. Take up another game with clear rules and better community outreach, and without the seven year history of hostility, and don’t get yourself or your family invested in this mess.
  • Has potential but falls short of fun.

Being the framework of PoGo, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The story narrative is uninteresting. The graphics and in-game chat are it’s best features. However, it plays like a never ending game of capture the flag with the strategy of checkers. Game play ranges from cumbersome to confusing. A lot of flashy graphics but no aspects of this hot mess makes it “fun” to play.

  • Incorrect gps ban

So I have been playing this game for 3 years now. I recently got banned because sometime when I’m at work it says no location even when I’m on the WiFi. Well Niantic recently banned me for that. I’m really disappointed with them considering I have spoofers take out my portals and they don’t get banned. I would recommend waiting tell they can figure out who cheats and who doesn’t before playing ingress prime. If your a older player you can play scanner redacted which is more stable than prime but slower to play.
  • Well it worked better before

Now it’s just buggy and laggy on a 7+... For some reason even with all the sound settings off I get bursted noises through Bluetooth. The scanner doesn’t track location properly and the data doesn’t seem to refresh quickly. Occasionally it will get stuck yet know that your moving.

I have tried several times to use Prime. Easy things become difficult. For example, I can’t see where unclaimed portals are around me. So unless I’m in a familiar area, I actually miss white portals. Once Redacted is removed, I might be forced to ‘retire.’ Love the game, but Prime is just so frustrating.
  • Won’t start!

I downloaded the app but it won’t even start, as it says I need the updated version. Well, I literally just downloaded the updated version. When I click “on” it takes me to the App Store which conforms I have the most recent version. Disappointed, as I was hoping to use this!

Can you make the gear colors match the Redacted version please? Prime would be so much easier to navigate.
