    After years of hosting, my account was blocked without explanation. The support team ignores emails and offers no help. They only care about making money. Many users use it for free accommodation, treating you as a free hotel. Avoid this platform and use alternatives like Be Welcome or Couchers.org.

    Very good app to make friends and meet nice people from all over the world, but at the same time you don't really know who to trust and if it's really worth inviting a stranger to your house, until a Not Nice Guest comes to your house. Be careful people ones you accept the request, you don’t know.

    Couchsurfing support works terribly. They lead me by the nose. They blocked my account due to a misunderstanding. Without finding out the reason. Although I have a paid subscription. They don’t want to return the money. They don’t solve the problem! They don’t want to do anything at all. They don’t even bother to answer emails. I write letters for a long time. They just don’t answer, they ignore. They don’t even try to clarify the situation and help solve it! But the subscription is paid. What are you getting paid for??

    After being a member for over 10 years, this year I was twice asked to pay for verification $20 in March and $60 in May for life time access and all of a sudden, I can’t log in, no replies from support and only option is to delete my data.
