I cannot find a way to turn off a reading plan. Sometimes, I do need it to turn off the notifications.
  • Help, Can’t get out!

    By MariHRA
I was reading a scripture and wanted to make a note, so I clicked on the icon to make a note but can’t send it, store it, get out of it, return to the Bible at all. I tried single tap, double tap, swiping to all sides, with 2 fingers then 3 fingers, went to my home page then taped the app to open it again, nothing works to get out of making a note. I’m gonna have to remove the app and then reinstall it all over again. I really like the app because it gives you so many choices on how you want to read scripture and choices in books and languages, but if you use google to search your question and it takes you to the bible gateway site you have better choices and you can ask questions on the search bar and you will be given a slew of verses that may help vs the app you download in that you have to search for specific words to get referred to verses with those specific words, you may not ask questions for example; prayer for a son, prayer for the sick. Which you can do when you search bible gateway on google. Please put an escape or save or send icon on the notes section. Please look into putting a back icon when you do a word search anywhere on the page so you don’t have to scroll all the way back to the top to tap on the options menus and then have to tap on the search option again. Maybe a back button anywhere on any page will solve the problems with this app.

The Bible, now with ads and monthly and annual subscriptions!
  • Good app overall, annoying ads

    By Newpup
I understand ads help keep the app free, but ads with sound on a Bible app are not well thought out. If you forget to turn the volume down and you're at church, Bible study, reading in bed, etc. it will sometimes blast everyone around you with an ad when you open the app.

I love the Bible Gateway app! Would it be at all possible to add a feature that could allow us to highlight a single word or phrase instead of highlighting the whole verse? Also could you please allow us to highlight in multiple colors? Thank you!
  • Notes

Plz review saving notes process! Like once it’s entered it’s saved instead of pushing done, e.g if you use back feature or go back to scripture to double check something and not push done cause you’re really not, and come back to notes some if not all is gone.

I appreciate all of the resources available, but there are some major flaws with this app. First of all, it doesn’t sync with the online version, so devotionals, for example, do not sync. It would also be nice to customize the order of resources, such that your most-used ones are at the top Of the list (or something along those lines).
