    Eff this app. It’s a glitchy, boring nightmare. Doesn’t update and still shows ads despite subscription. I wish this paper would let me run it. Couldn’t be any worse

    A few main news items are given too many columns and pages so we get less news. The sports section has been destroyed by not having late game results. These results might show up days later if at all, especially local high school scores. In order to save on print, it’s made smaller and smaller to fit everything on one page, very difficult to read. I have had the Times Union and the Knickerbocker for over 70 years and the paper has faded drastically. I enjoy the Perspective page, the cartoons, and I would like to see more local area news.

    Texted TU. Coukd not open. 6 days in a row. Yet, they manage to bill me. Thank you TU for great customer service. Long time TU subscriber, been e edition guy last year.

    So frustrating. The ads at the top have gotten larger and more intrusive and you can’t diminish them so now the paper is smaller. You can only arrow forward or back from the front page to the last page and not to each section. None of the “buttons” ( print, mail etc) work. I read there is a ‘gift button’ but I have never seen it. I have apps for several papers, including one from a much smaller market, and they are all by far better than this one.

    I pay for a 7 day a week paper, I am lucky if it is delivered maybe 4 days a week. This is really crazy, for I pay to have it delivered. Frank Berbrick

  • Emails don’t auto link to app, search poor

    I get emails from the TU, when I hit a link, it takes me to the internet, where I get constant popups to sign in. I have the app. Other media know to open links in the app. Searching for a recent print story to find a link to share with someone is frustrating, old articles come up, rarely what I want.

  • Ads delete part of writings

    I use E-edition of Times Union to read local news and commentary. When clicking on the link of small print, it is supposed to pop out larger font for readers. But, Ads attached to news or commentary do not display appropriately, they delete part of writings. It is annoying.

    When i zoom in on an article it creates a new pagewiththat single article. Bring back the old version.
