  • Amazing strength training app

I’ve tried a bunch of strength training apps and Strong is the best of the bunch, you can tell the developers really care about the app experience and quality. Feels right at home on iOS unlike some other non-native workout apps!

Great app for tracking progress in the weight room. Unfortunately, the app is limited to certain exercises and machines (limited plate loaded exercises, ie Hammer Strength). When they develop the app to have customization for exercises, I will probably purchase it.
  • StrongLifts App Is A Superior Choice

As someone focused on weightlifting and tracking progress, I found the Strong app to be lacking in many features compared to StrongLifts App. While Strong might appeal to casual users, it falls short in terms of features and customization for serious lifters. StrongLifts, on the other hand, is a superior choice. It offers a robust set of capabilities that cater to the needs of dedicated weightlifters. The trend graphs, for instance, are linked to time-based trends, allowing me to visualize my progress over time in various ways. StrongLifts also has a more capable calendar with more features than the one in Strong, making it easier to track my workouts and progress. Additionally, StrongLifts excels in its ability to tailor my progress and programs. The app can even automate weight increases, helping me push my limits safely and efficiently—a feature that Strong simply doesn’t offer with the same level of sophistication. In summary, Strong feels too limited for my needs. It lacks the comprehensive tools and features that make StrongLifts a go-to app for anyone serious about their weightlifting journey. If you're looking for an app that provides detailed tracking, customization, and automated progression, StrongLifts is the clear winner.
  • Fuzzy search support

Hi, I really enjoy using your app! It would be great if you could add a fuzzy search feature. This would make it much easier to find excercise, even if the search excercise isn't an exact match. Thanks for considering this!

A great free version to use but I love the app so much I bought the PRO upgrade. This app is amazing at allowing you to track your progress and see how far you’ve come, I love how it labels how many workouts you’ve done on the app.
  • Love this with one suggestion

I love this app, it reduces my gym anxiety because I know exactly what I’m going to do that day. And it’s so easy to track strength progression. I love the demos for when I’m a little unsure of how exactly to perform the exercise. My only wish is that the developers add in more body weight-type exercises, like bird dogs and donkey kicks and so forth. I often incorporate these types of exercises into my strength training for increased stability and because of physical therapy. If they added those, this would be a perfect app.
  • Buggy even if it is the best strength training app

Update 8/14/24 - bugs keep getting worse. Especially if you’re using live sync with the Apple Watch. I keep getting logged out and losing data which is extremely frustrating. Really unfortunate given how much I like this app otherwise. If there was another app with similar functionality I would switch in a heart beat. —————— I’ve logged over 800 workouts on Strong. Overall it’s very good and has what you need. But the bugs just seem to be increasing. Some are frustrating but only inconvenient (like the rest timer on the Apple Watch keeps getting turned on no matter how many times I turn it off). But over the last couple weeks I lost a compete workout twice!! I’m pretty sure it has to do with the watch sync. I’ll end the workout on my watch and it won’t pull any of the data from my phone. It’s also happened a few times where my notes don’t carry over (but the workouts do). To me data loss is just not ok. And I’m on iPhone 15 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2. So latest and greatest. Original review: Simple, efficient and excellent Apple Watch integration.

Great app for gym accountability. Easy to set up workout routines and the personal records are both encouraging and depressing when you fall off the Gym wagon. Apparently, I haven’t been to the gym in almost 2 years although I do pay for it monthly SMH! I lost all of my data and the developer recovered it for me in under an hour. Exceptional customer service thank you very much. Looking forward to getting back on track with my workout schedule. Highly recommend!

Very easy to use but progress charts are only available in the paid subscription service. I thought I finally found the app I was looking for where I could just log what I’m doing and track my progress but you have to pay for that. The subscription is very cheap which is good ($5/month, $30/year, $100 forever) but a lot of fitness apps have timers and all that which im trying to avoid. I hope someone finds really good use from it cuz a lot of thought was put into it but someone like me who’s just looking for a way to chart progress easy isn’t going to get much use from it. I can’t pay for the Pro version right now but it’s still early development so I don’t want to delete it. Unsure of what to do 🤷🏼‍♂️
