What you really need is a friendly personal finance tool that gets the basics just right and keeps things simple. That's where we come in. Introducing CheckBook 2, your powerfully simple personal finance manager. Precisely manage your finances • Find transactions with simple searches or combine search criteria to really drill into your data • Reconcile your accounts to the penny • Schedule transactions that repeat periodically, like monthly bills and paychecks • Track cash flow over time with customizable reports so you can see where your money came from and where it’s going Import from other personal finance apps or your bank • Strong support for OFX, QFX, QIF, CSV and Text • Import from Quicken® Essentials for Mac and Quicken for Mac 2015 and later Share and sync your data • Sync with other users on a local network • Sync with iCloud And more • Manage accounts in multiple currencies • Transfer funds between accounts without creating two transactions (look under the Entry menu or contact us for help) Learn more about CheckBook • Download & print CheckBook's built-in help: https://www.splasm.com/checkbook • Watch video tutorials of CheckBook: https://www.splasm.com/videos • Share with other CheckBook users in our forums: https://www.splasm.com/forum Get Help Send questions about CheckBook to support@splasm.com. Very Simple to use, reconcile, search, etc. While I am still tempted to go for the pay version, the free version is serving me well. I just us this for home use/keep track of rental incomes, etc.
  • It's free and I use it (but my needs are small)

I am primarily using Checkbook to track the cash flow in two bank accounts and the charges on a credit card. It won't do everything but if you like to be hands on with your cash and avoid advertising, data sharing, etc., this fits the bill... and it's free.

This app is simple to use and allows you to document only the vital information for finances. It allows multiple accounts which can be checking, savings, or other categories. Keep your finances in check with this user friendly app!

THIS WAS JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I DIDN'T WANT A LOT OF BELLS AND WHISTLES OR CONNECTED TO MY ACCOUNTS. THIS IS PERFECT. THE ONLY THING I SOULD SUGGEST IS THAT DEBIT ARE IN DARK BLACK TO ADD MORE CONTRAST.

Would like the capability to print out a period of time (by dates) for an account by category (including sums of categories). Maybe this is already available then please let me know.

the checks on reconciled items are too light. I need the ability to darken then. Also the typeface on the reconcile page is too small. The ability to control that size is also needed. Most of my entries are repeats of entries from the month before. You need to add a button to facilitate duplicate entries. Perhaps. putting in current date, zeroing the amount , using next anvail. check no and blanking the reconcile box.
