Over charged me for subscription

I was offered a subscription for $2 for a year and then I was charged $19 without any notification by email. The content is not worth $20/month. Their customer service is also bad.
Mismatch on article links

Literally everyday this news app provides links to articles that go to the wrong article and you are not able to read the news they provide. It’s not a bug rather it’s just sloppy. They charge like $40 a month and have not fixed the links for a year or longer — it’s a 1 star news experience

Your (online) alarmist headlines and reporting designed to manipulate folks into doom scrolling is why I’m cancelling my membership and never looking back. The paper is good though, kudos to that team. Level up, just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

Barron’s is only getting worse. The latest update is absolute garbage. They are only making the interface and UI worse. News Corp/WSJ will try to add these bells/whistles but can’t fix the scroll on the Home Screen and they make accessing a random article completely unreliable. You never know it when you will get the Orange Message of Death along with a blank screen saying “An Error Occurred Please Try Again Later.” You can’t edit your account info. They updated the comment section but it is still weak. It looks like MSN’s or Yahoo’s comment section. The only good thing about this app is the content at this point. Really disappointed with Barron’s because I love reading their stuff and it seems like they know it and don’t care about their product
Glitchy app with poor offline mode

This app needs work. I used to get Barrons via Kindle, but that stopped a while back. It was a pdf that you had to scroll through - not a great experience, but it was reliable and all available offline. This app frequently has “error loading content” because it is trying to serve an ad or online content that fails. On my ipad pro, the screen freezes and requires me to force quit and restart the app. Even after multiple updates, I get the same behavior. Also, I’ve tried to download articles to read while in airplane mode, but then also get an error.
Links to articles don’t work

When viewing ‘latest’ news, clicking on an article doesn’t work. The wrong article is shown. Has been an issue for 12 months and still hasn’t been fixed.

For whatever reason, after reading a few articles, the app actually makes my iPad heat up significantly, then it gets laggy, then it crashes. Definitely needs a tuneup.
frequent mis-cue on articles

This problem occurs frequently enough that I actually feel the need to write this up. 10-15% of articles don’t match the title clicked. When this happens on an article, it persists so that the original article isn’t reachable at all — the app will continually pull up the same, wrong article. iPhone & iPad apps both have this problem.
Good content, just frustrating that only a portion of titles are reachable.
