I love this app! Almost instantaneous information about local seismic events. It’s very customizable to get alerts for just your local area or other region you’re interested in. You can also sort by magnitude if you’re interested in large events worldwide. I was a tech in a seismology lab as an undergrad, and it probably took me 20 minutes to pick off P/S wave separations off a number of stations to get magnitude estimates, plus approximate hypocenters using a map and strings! Now my phone beeps and I can read off much more accurate information a minute or less after an event! Great app!

I have been using this for awhile now, and I don't regret spending money to buy the full version at all. I like the alerts, and how fast they come. ***The only thing I wish could be changed, is the source of the alerts. I mostly monitor from the US through Mexico to Panama. And it seems sometimes alerts come from the European source, and somethings from the US, and each time it asks if I want to change sources. But then I've noticed that when I change, I might miss the next alert. SUGGESTION: Could it be possible to receive alerts from all or both sources?? Even if there are duplicate reports, maybe they could be combined, or a small icon identifying which source it's from? Whatever is needed to eliminate switching sources and potentially missing alerts. This feature would bring it to 5 stars for me. Thanks for your consideration.

I got this app because of my location near a fault line. We recently had 2 earthquakes near Jackson, TN. Both quakes registered over a 2.2 but I was never alerted. They didn’t even register on this app. Due to not being able to trust this app, I will be deleting this app and search for one that’s more dependable.

I have little interest in global quakes. My only interest is for quakes in northern California. Hence, this app seems to be a waste of time.
