Successfully used this app for sailing from Seattle to Alaska and back in 2019. It worked great. It has tons of great features which well worth the price. Too bad there hasn’t been any updates in the last years. Would love to have better integration with newer versions of ipad or more customizable instrument panels

Not sure they are still in business. No updates in years and the support site doesn’t work.

People rated down the app when it get from being able to buy the charts for life to subscriptions and it is fair but this app is still the best navigation app out there, by far.

I’ve been using iSailor since 2013, and have logged well over 10,000 miles with it. The new increases in chart subscriptions are INSANE! Charts that we’re $25 a year for updates are now $99?! If you want detailed info like marina amenities etc it’s even more! I’ll be switching to navionics and getting more bang for my buck. Too bad I really liked this app.

Isailor just increased the yearly subscription to Bahamas charts from $7 to $ 99 per year. I’m out.

$25 annually for an app that hasn’t been updated in almost FOUR years. Talk about hubris! Note to Wärtsilä - - your app is not intuitive and out-of-date. I was a fool to renew. P. T. Barnum was right.

iSailor is a solid charting app. It presents the charts in a way that experienced paper chart users would expect. Lots of customization available too. Add-on subscriptions for things like tides, currents, AIS, etc. It hasn’t been updated in three years though, and in those three years other charting apps have caught up and surpassed iSailor, especially in things like route planning, automatic route planning, overlays, etc. I use iSailor as my chart plotter but use other apps for route planning and such. Always good to have a few apps to refer to and to compare.

When somebody purchase an item, only to find later that the seller decided that they are only renting it to you. So even tho you purchased the item, you must pay annual rent. Then they get you again! My original version covered both my iPhone and my iPad. In preparation for a passage, I paid the rental fee for the app on my iPhone. But now they want me to rent the iPad version too. Quite nasty and greedy. I do my planning on my phone, and navigate within the iPad.
  • AIS Unavailable

Not sure why I can’t get AIS data on other vessels around me. They don’t even appear on the chart for me at all. Disappointing to say the least.
