Always has issues uploading to share on instagram stories. It’s been this way for too long and they still can’t fix it. Not fun when you can’t share your runs that way. Strava better

Worth it for Coach Bennett’s guided runs alone. And next-to-no sales pitches!
  • Where is my run map?!

I’ve been running with this app for 10 years and have come to rely on it. I recently began using it with an Apple Watch and noticed some frustrating sync issues. Now I’ve noticed that beginning in January the run map disappeared. What happened to the map display after the run? I run every day and I use it to zoom in and review where I’ve been, pace, mileage breaks, elevation, temperature, etc. now it’s suddenly gone. What happened?? I called nine and sent an email no response after several weeks of trying. Customer service? I’m dropping this from 4 to 2 stars. I’m also considering a switch to Strava, according to reviews it seems to be better, after being a loyal NRC user for 10 years.
  • Helped me learn to actually love running!

I’ve had an on and off relationship with running for a few years now. A while ago I only ran just for weight loss and to try to become fast. I didn’t really know what I was doing and would run too hard too soon with no breaks. I would just hurt and thought I sucked at running. I viewed it as a necessary evil that I needed to overcome. I also thought that I should be a lot better at running than I was and I hated it. I made one of my New Year’s resolutions a few years ago to “run more and get better at it” #newyearnewme, I know. A friend of mine recommended downloading the NRC app so we could keep each other accountable. I tried a few guided runs with coach Bennett and it felt like he legit was in my brain dispelling all the negative self talk I usually did on my runs in the past “I’m not fast enough, I’m not fit enough, I’m not a runner” I realized I’m not alone in feeling like this. I started to “own my fitness” and ran appropriately. I rested more. I had a better mindset and positively talked to myself. Running became easier (not easy)! I stopped dreading the runs and now look forward to it. I don’t usually write reviews, but I really am so grateful. Thank you all, and best of luck running!
  • Glitchy app but ok for beginner

Good if you’re literally starting from the couch. Areas to improve: App sometimes misses runs or doesn’t track properly. The Spotify or music apps don’t connect or when they do connect the volume is drastically lowered and then increased randomly when you stop a run. I think if you want to be more serious get Strava. Disconnect between run and Apple Watch tracking as well. Coaches also talk too much on guided runs and they lower down the volume of music too much.
  • NRC Watch Flaw

There’s a serious flaw with the NRC watch app when it comes to pausing a run. If you accidentally double click the pause button, it will stop your run. Unlike in the phone app where you have to hold down the stop button. It has now happened to me countless times and stopped my run mid way/close to finishing my runs. This has caused massive frustration, especially with guided runs as I can’t pick up from where I was. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Overall solid running/workout app. I really wish for guided speed runs on the watch, it would not auto resume - the auto resume when trying to stretch / do strides is a real pain and not able to be disabled during guided runs. Additionally, after the latest update the app will pause any music being played anytime you launch or switch to the app - will update when fixed

  • Detailed App Lacking Key Features

The Nike Run Club app is so detailed and amazing I. So many ways! You have access to an in depth running library full of audio guided runs by the best coaches, world renowned athletes, inspiring stories, and one timely sound engineer! The app gives you access to detailed splits, heart rate information, and a run map all accessible through the app on the phone. Your watch can sync to the app as well with limited features. Key upgrades to the App on your phone include but are not limited to: Run Effort based on previous runs, heart rates, and the apps perceived effort for you. Run goals and reminders. Heart rate zones. End of year recap and celebration of the miles/maps/times you have put in!
  • Almost perfect

Love the Nike Run Club app. The only thing that could make it perfect is if, on the stat counts, it could count runs on tread/trail/road, races, and if it could tally all the different states/countries that you run each year. So when you complete a run and can enter your shoe, trail, etc, you could also enter if it was a race and the location.
