The last app update on my IPad never actually opens the app. It’s crash after crash. If I reboot then I get it open once. Then we are back to crashes. The other annoying thing is having to relog in as a subscriber every time. Please fix this I hate having to use safari to read the paper.

Read other reviews. I would be embarrassed to oversee such a poorly organized and executed app. Links don’t work, notification won’t take you to story, searches cannot filter and do not return most recent results or in any order I can figure out. TRIBUNE: please outsource to a company that can set up your app to the level a paying subscriber should receive.
  • Does not work. Says I’ve ran out of free articles. Even though you are charging me. Real rip off.

The app is awful. Anytime I try to open an article especially a local one, I am blocked from reading it. Then it re-directs me to the app when I say I am already a subscriber. This issue needs to be resolved by the Chicago tribune. Have it link to our cell phone number or whatever you have to do in order to get this situation corrected. If not I will be canceling my subscription. What good is it for us all to have the subscription and when we go to open a local article, we can’t even read it? I see many, many subscribers are having the same problem.

On December 11, the Tribune published a misleading story on crime on the Magnificent Mile under the byline of Robert Channick. Retail theft has been declining for decades and, compared to 2019 when stores were open, is greatly reduced. Further the story copies a story from San Francisco. It uses the same words and expressions. I would expect this from Fox News, but not the Tribune.
  • The future of the former Chicago Tribune

Content quality and balanced reporting continues to decline, eventual “Inquirer” style reporting is in the future.

Since the sale paper covers less news more puff. Best columnist have left. Not as balanced as before. Stopped reporting cumulative shootings and murders .
