weak office spplications

Moving data from one Apple application to another is quite difficult.
Apple is to concerned with bells and whistles than maintaining office applications that communicate seamlessly and are easy to use. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” On the other hand, if it is, try simplifying.

I love this app . Being retired on limited income, I have set up a self calculating grocery list . I enter the prices as I go and compare to the checkout receipt and stay in budget. Love love love.
Amazing App

Works great on iPad and Mac. Documents accessible on both, and on iPhone in a pinch. It’s great not worrying about only having the iPhone with you — you can still access your spreadsheets!

MS Excel is so superior to Numbers
1
By Howie Katz
There’s a reason it’s free. I’m coming from the Windows world and MS Excel is many heads & shoulders above Numbers. Excel is more powerful and more intuitive than Numbers, and I’m not even talking about when using formulas—just basic operations.
Developing table wide formulas

Using the iPhone, I am unable to create a formula and copy it down a column reference the information in each row. The handles that are supposed to be used to do this do not appear and I get an error message that says formulas cannot be copied to merged cells. But the cells are not merged.
Excel works better.
Numbers Rocks

The reason I dig Numbers is its easy. No fuss no muss to use. Excel is amazing, true, but fussy and complicated. Numbers not at all. And when I’am done with my Numbers work I can convert it for my colleagues who are Excel users. Easy Peasy!!!
FMC Review of numbers

The Numbers software performs many of the functions as the standard spreadsheet. My only comment is that I cannot convert a date or duration variable to a number.
