  • Journalistic independence

I feel that Jeff Bezos has kissed the ring of Donald Trump and sacrifice the long-standing journalistic independence that Washington Post represented. There is so much at steak. I miss Ann Tellnes, Ruth Marcos, Jennifer Rubin
  • Once upon a time fantastic....

Until the ownership kowtowed to Emperor Trump and started pouring Republican NPC coolaid over editorial decisions. No longer trustworthy as an editorial source, and probably not as a news source.
  • Would be higher if Bezos didn’t suppress opinions critical of him.

The transformation of the Post, from a serious news outlet to a propaganda machine, breaks my heart.
  • Jeff Bezos will ruin the paper

I cancelled my subscription and just deleted the app. Spiking an opinion piece because it goes against the paper’s perspective on the Opinion section of the paper is ludicrous and ridiculously thin-skinned. I guess, what else is new, with all of the billionaires these days.
  • Beso’s influence is killing a historical news source

In a time when our country needs hard hitting investigative journalism, the Post is being hampered in its responsibility to hold power accountable because of the influence of Jeff Besos. I subscribed to the post in 2016, trusting it to keep me informed, but now, this year, the many departures by respectable journalists and the lack of deep investigations showed me that this is a source I can no longer support. I’ve cancelled my subscription.

  • Sad decline

Formerly a reversed institution, now the Post is just a sad shell of its former self as owner Bezos bends the knee to Trump. There are still good writers there but some of the best have left. My subscription will end soon and I’ll find a better place for my subscription dollars.
