  • Terrible to sunset cbs dfw

    If I could leave you a minus review I would. Because you have gone backward. The original cbs dfw weather app worked great, faster more up to date than any of my friends apps, could track weather in multiple cities. The best. You sunset it — I have tried this app several times and it’s just horrible — can’t find the weather easily. Incessant adds. The little pop up box is crazy annoying while trying to read the articles. Only major large city venues offered. Of course your reporting and stories are biased to the left but that’s expected.. the app is just hard to find and get to what you want,,

  • Forced to watch video

    I hate the video that pops up on every single article I open. If I wanted to watch video instead of read the article I would go to the video section. Plus if I try read something discretely (at work or boring formal event) it starts blaring from the video. Rarely even open it anymore.

    Starting off good place for news if you have moved around. Moved north of the border away from the Philly area. Excellent news team. Moved back to the US and why is Baltimore the only news stream that freezes. Consistently freezes. Also why no ATLANTA?!! Colorado and Minnesota yet no Atlanta why. Nice to see the news in areas my family lives

  • Volume issues

    Love this news channel and start my day with CBS but something happened along the way since my las review. When I open the app then turn up the volume it goes into major echo mode. I have to close out the app, figure the volume I want then reopen it and it works fine. If try to adjust the volume again it goes back to a horrible echo again. And sometimes there’s two things going on at once - for example two commercials playing at the same time or the news and a commercial. This does not happen in any other app that I have. And the CBS app on my phone is up to date.

    The app has become entirely too intrusive with ads. Yes, you can X out of the video but then you’re dealing with a pop up. Can’t even read a news story because of the ads. App developers need to realize that we can and will leave to use something else. We don’t have to use their app. App also uses too much data. I fail to understand why American news apps have to gobble data while their counterparts in the UK don’t.

  • Nothing but commercials

    CBS news was once my main source for the news. Their reporting and coverage are excellent. The problem is that you have to watch several minutes of repetitive commercials between each news segment. They keep repeating the same commercials over and over and over again. It has become unbearable to watch. How many times do you have to advertise your morning program? Because of these horrible commercials we have switched to other channels to get our news.

    This app has a ton of adds and pop up’s that repeatedly come up after closing out of them. I like cbs news but it’s getting to the point where I’m going to delete the app and get my news elsewhere. Why is there not a paid version to remove ads or something? This app is TRASH
