    This app is amazing! So much better than my fitness pal. It’s amazing that it gives you a choice of how quickly you would like to lose your weight, the fact that it breaks down the calories per meal is incredible. It keeps you motivated with its prompts and encouragement. You should totally get this app.

    Amount in some serving definitions are not clear especially for liquid or combination meals like casseroles. Should say how many servings are in recipe, oz etc. if you’re serious about losing weight it forces you to convert everything to grams or guess using pictures which is difficult when dining away from home. If you’re meal planning on a lower calorie diet, every calorie counts.

    Seriously? I moved to this app a while ago because myfitnesspal paywalled its barcode scanner. Loved LoseIt while the barcode scanning was an option. I come back now after taking a break from tracking, and I find that LoseIt has done the exact same thing as MFP. Immediate delete for me. Guess I’ll have to find yet another tracking app.
  • Tracks everything except water

    I liked the flexible ability to add meals and food items and copy a previous days tracked meal. Also, like that, you could set your own goals for certain components. Really was disappointed that you can’t track your water though.

    When I did a search for free weight loss app, this came up. It’s advertised as free, but once you get started, all the convenient, helpful parts require upgrade to premium.

    I love this app, in my opinion it is the best out there. It has gotten me to hit my goals every time. I have been using it since the pandemic and stopped in 2023. Now I find out that the barcode scan feature which was free is now apart of the premium option, I was gutted. Is it that the app got so popular that something as simple and convenient as that is now a “premium option”. Sooner or later I guess I will have to pay to take pictures of my food. To help me log it. Shake my head!!

    The good is that the interface is easy to navigate and pleasant to look at. You can change the theme to something you like. It’s easy to see what foods you have logged. The bad is that the database of foods needs to be updated and increased with more foods. My Fitness Pal has the biggest database of foods but is more difficult to navigate. The Cal Ai app is the easiest to use but is not accurate at all. I am going back to lose it. It is also the best value.
