  • Oof another app with too many notifications.

It’s faster to delete the app than it is to turn off all notifications. There is a list of seperate notifications a mile long that require individually switching each one off. I would rather turn them all off to start with. Then I can click and read which to turn back on individually.
  • Failed to verify

Website gave me a QR code to download the app to verify my identify, but the QR code only open the web version on my phone. After signing in it told me I still had to download the app, after downloading and signing in again it just took me to the home page. Confusing. I deleted the app.
  • Not Good

There are some many dumb issues in this app. Like why do I need a “feed” of job ads? Why can’t I only see job listings that fit my exact criteria? I don’t need to see the right job with the wrong pay. And I don’t need to see on-site jobs that are out of state when I’ve specified a location. Easy stuff to do. But instead LinkedIn only focuses on monetization, constantly trying to get me to sign up for the way-too-expensive premium product, which has never been valuable. I’ve also realized that most of these design issues are purposeful, because they are selling job ad impressions to employers. So they don’t care if they are showing you a relevant job; they are getting paid for that impression. Overall this platform is a joke at this point. My network is valuable in terms of connections, but that’s the only value I get from LinkedIn.
  • LinkedIn Premium Still Gets Ads

It’s amazing to me that, given the cost of LinkedIn Premium, you still have to put up with ads. Therefore, I can’t recommend LinkedIn Premium unless you’re actively job hunting, can make use of LinkedIn Learning (and your library doesn’t offer a free version), or plan to make regular use of the InMail feature to contact corporate personnel to address a customer issue, complaint, or concern. Outside of premium, I find LinkedIn to be a more professional (if not banal and less informative) version of Facebook with the same distracting ads.

All I get is fake jobs and scams!!! If someone contacts you and requests you to download another app so they can interview you via that app, report them!!!

I have utilized LinkedIn for years. LinkedIn has allowed me the opportunity to learn from some of our nations best subject matter experts and join in conversations where I can add value or insight. It’s a pleasure to praise the work of others making an impact or witness the celebrated wins from medical device manufacturing, healthcare innovation or share stories of award winning physician leaders improving quality of life and health outcomes for patients worldwide. LinkedIn is a great tool for public relations, education, community connections and the advancement of meaningful initiatives in all sectors including recruitment, advocacy, healthcare, government relations, health education and so much more! Thank you LinkedIn for your expertise!

Just swapped to an iPhone. The android version of the app was amazing. It is so glitchy on my iPhone. Lag in scrolling. Lag in clicking. Won’t load posts or people, etc. Such a surprisingly and unfortunately poor experience.
