    i tried watching a movie today and literally could not go to a different app on my phone because Max would completely restart the movie from the beginning. if it isn’t that, it’s dealing with the freezing and skipping forward into an episode. this is the worst streaming app i’ve ever had to use— EVEN HULU HAS A BETTER APP!!!!

    I feel like I’ve already mentioned this since the new Apple TV app was released.. I have the HD Apple TV and the sound on the former HBO TV app was among the best sound of all the streaming apps but ever since they changed their name and crossed over to the new app the sound has been pretty low and awful.. No high and low separation, it never seems to be in surround, even on brand new releases and I have to turn the volume up to 70 just to understand the dialogue and then sometimes a sound effect will come on and wake the neighbors but mostly it’s just flat sounding. Older movies on the max app can be even worse sounding. There’s definitely been a downgrade in the sound quality even though they claim to have all these great surround codecs. I have a Sonos surround system that used to sound great with the former HBO TV app and I could easily understand the dialogue even when on level 25 instead of 70.🤨

    Great content and high quality when it works. Works for me on my TV about 30% of the time. Randomly get the sound with no picture when Netflix and all other apps work just fine. Internet is fine, performed all updates and still glitchy. Its sad and disappointing.

    The app never worked very well. For instance never remembered where I stopped watching. Reverted to some random spot. Unfortunately after the last update the app became impossible to use. Spontaneously reloads. Really bad.

    I love the new version and I miss the old one but still but here is why I put it to 4 stars. When you want to delete a account it doesn’t show up for the new version but the old one had a delete option but not the new one so I hope you see this and please fix it! I still love the app.

    WT actual F. Chromecasting causes the volume to shoot to max every single time. The worst part is it’ll do it even when I’ve been watching the same show and it auto plays the next episode. So I can’t watch a series while I’m feeling a little sleepy because I might be awakened by my tv blasting whatever on full volume. I almost fell out of bed after nodding off and being startled awake by full blast series recap. The update didn’t fix this. Also a little annoying that it won’t save progress on the shows I watch half the time. But honestly thinking about canceling because of the volume thing.

    If I could give it zero stars, I would. The ads made it restart the program EVERY TIME. Simply the worst. We have all the other steaming services: Netflix, prime, Hulu, ESPN, paramount, peacock. None of these ones are as awful as “Max”. I want my money back and I will NEVER subscribe to max again.
