I’m glad I gave it a go. I’m not even done with the trial and I know I’ll keep it! I love how customizable it is and it seems to be working flawlessly! I truly believe everyone could benefit from this app.

They just told me to rate them, so I hope it’s a good app
  • IMPOSSIBLE to delete data. Frustrating loop.

It seems fine at blocking apps. Not hard to configure at all, except the limit of 50 apps allowed to notify when in screen ninja mode. Which wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have a lot of responsibilities that I manage with notifications from multiple apps. I like the screen ninja time window feature. The $60/year price ran me off, and the discount to $30 when I set off my marketing scamster warning system. But what really ran me off was the sign-in loop when I tried to delete my data at the end of the trial period. Impossible to escape. The bug could actually be in the App Store, but I don’t care. I should be able to delete my data. This problem is so widespread it’s a joke, just like privacy is, the way tech companies treat it. 👎
  • Hopefully this is still in beta

Things I loved: *specific apps (FB, IG) could be chosen to have fewer daily opens and limited minutes. *blocking off chunks of time to be present *ability to keep certain apps available at all times (maps, camera, kindle, calculator, etc) *overall I like how it made me reconsider how much I pick up my phone Things I hated: *Constantly crashing when I’m trying to add apps to the allowed section. Drove me bonkers. I need things when I need them. *Counting all screen time as equal. I read on my phone a lot. To me that shouldn’t be counted the same as me being on IG. So it was realllllly disheartening to lose my streak because I read a book. *the functionality isn’t there yet. I’m supposed to be in a blocking session, but here I am, with all apps available. It just wiped what I had set up for myself. As frustrating as it was to set up initially I won’t be doing it a second time and I won’t be moving forward with a $60 subscription. Sounds good, doesn’t work.

I was told there was a free trial on this app that I should check out. My intentions going in were just to check it out and cancel. I’m here to stay and happily so! I love that you can individually tailor the apps you want to use less of. As most of these reviews state, the disappointment when the app won’t open, or when it shuts down is such temporary frustration. Getting hours of your life back per day, and taking control of your social media instead of letting it control you, is such a powerful feeling. My only complaint is, due to the price, I’m using it to break the doom scrolling addiction, but don’t plan on paying for it for life. I wish the company would consider a significantly cheaper monthly fee after the initial year of subscription as it doesn’t appear to take much on their part to maintain. Please consider a quick nickel subscription for life vs. a slow dime approach for a season of life.

Helps me keep track of my time, the ability to limit opening certain apps has completely stopped my mindless scrolling. So happy I found this!
  • Beware canceled my subscription & still charged.
