I have supported Roca from the beginning, but in the past year or so, they have shifted further and further to the right, only covering topics that their main audience sees as acceptable. They are unwilling to face their own biases and do not see the value in diverse points of view. In my view, outlets like these are more dangerous than the blatantly alt-right outlets, as it makes their audience feel a false sense of seeing the whole picture. They also just skim the surface level of stories they cover. Super disappointed in Roca. It’s gotten so bad that I uninstalled even though my subscription runs for another 5 months.

Bullet points are better than editorials. Way less space to get nonsense. Keep up the great work roca team.

I was promised a notification before my free trial ended, but I didn’t receive one. When I got charged, my credit card company told me that refunds weren't possible. I tried the app, but the news stories were shallow and didn't cover important topics in depth. Although it's cheaper than an annual subscription to The Economist, it offers much less content. The games are simplistic, and if I want to play a memory game, I’ll stick to the Elevate app.

It’s very surprising and disappointing to me that you have to pay to access all the stories now. There are so many free news apps out there, I don’t see any reason to keep the app.

All the news and all but one game was free, and I was fine with that, but then they made it where you have to buy a subscription to read all the news and you have to have MEGA to play any of the games.

They are far from independent unbiased news. They are like the rest, wolves in sheep clothing.

I loved Roca and used it daily. Now almost every feature is a push to grab a premium membership. App deleted

I was an avid reader of RocaNews, however, they have recently strayed away from what they provided us for so many years. The app is now entirely monetized and I cannot recommend this app to anyone anymore. I will change my review once the content becomes free with Ads to the public.

Worth noting that introduction of “premium membership” is access to all news stories and the polls/trivia/etc.

I loved this app but I seriously can’t afford to pay for it even if it’s a good news source. It’s just beyond frustrating and sad to see everything these days going to paid subscription. Y’all must think we have money growing on our trees. I can’t follow this trend. I have now delete this app.
